  • Hatching quail
Incubating our 2nd clutch of quail eggs, the first 15 of 20 eggs hatched (3 were bad eggs and 2 shrink wrapped because of humidity issues caused by my spouse opening the incubator during lock down to remove the quail as they dried). Temps are off 100% of the time so we've had to run the incubator at 101 instead of the recommended 99.5 for quail. We also had to use silicone caulking to stop the water reservoir from filling to much to keep the humidity at the proper level the first 14 days, on day 15 we add the 2 and 3 water bottle to increase humidity to the proper level for hatching. We are currently on day 16 of 18 incubating our second round of quail and increased from 20 eggs to 42 to test the automatic turner with larger quantities. ... show more

  • Running with duck eggs
This review isn't "exact" yet! Humidity here in Georgia stays relatively 50% without adding water BEFORE the Humidifier is on. With the incubator on the Humidity does drop to about 30% adding water can cause it to go to 80%-90% (IN GEORGIA) temp is set to 104°f and I have multiple thermometer reading anywhere from 96-100 °f with humidity from 50%-70% with LITTLE water added (IN GEORGIA) I emphasize where you are located will determine the humidity if a lot of water is needed or not. I don't need a bottle because I only need little water for the humidity to be just "right"... Will add another review at hatch! ... show more

  • First hatch complete
Three issues I have 1. 2nd day it throws an error, not sure for what as the directions or anything I could find online had troubleshooting issues 2 . Never could get the gravity fed humidifiers to not dump entire contents (plan on cleaning the machine and playing around with it 3. There are notches in a ring near the top with notches all the way around that as soon as the chicks can stand their necks slide into the notch and they hang themselves (their feet still touch but they can’t walk backwards. Get rid of that ring or add 3” of height to the dome so they can’t get to it ... show more

  • It works
We hatched seven eggs first time using it. We didn't bother to candle the eggs. Make sure you keep the styrofoam because it's part of the system. I like the fact that it comes with an extra fan and turner motor, this will extend the life of your incubator. We haven't had to replace either yet but it nice knowing we have it. ... show more

  • Just Works!
This incubator isn't too fancy but IT WORKS! I sat 7 fertile eggs and got 7 chicks in 20 days. DON'T THROW AWAY THE STYROFOAM PACKING MATERIAL! You will need this to keep the temperature between 99-100 degrees. It has holes cut in strategic places so it won't inhibit but help the incubation process. Comes with a spare motor for the turner and a spare fan to circulate the air as well as the cord for using the 12 volt feature. I had a power outage for about 3 hours and hooked it up to a 12 volt car battery and it worked great until the power was restored. I didn't think that much of the material that the incubator is constructed of as it's not the hard plastic that most incubators are made of but I really like this incubator. ... show more

... show more

  • I wouldn’t buy again
I had high hopes for this incubator. I’m glad I didn’t wait to put expensive eggs in here. It was going great 2 weeks that I had it. Lifted up the lid so I could candle. But a screw was loose somewhere in the lid and shored out the whole pcb. Thank goodness I had a back up
