  • My honest opinion after a week's useage
I purchased the Aotedor wheelchair a week ago, and here’s my opinion and experience after giving it some good usage, the good stuff and the “could use some improvement” stuff. I’ll probably update this review in a few months after it’s been used more. It shipped with box undamaged and still bound tightly, easily removed from packing and set up in minutes. A major relief. No damage! No assembly! Comes with a tool kit (which I hope never to use). Comes also with Owner’s Manual. Aotedor also has a YouTube channel which covers various subjects. It has two batteries, charged separately. About that: Aotoedor’s contact numbers, etc. are on the back page of the manual. I emailed Aotedor on a Sunday night PST (daytime China time) to clarify if those batteries were connected to each other or not and they immediately wrote back with the answer (they are separate. One in use, one as backup). The response was fast and precise! One way of charging the batteries is easy. Plug the terminal plug from charger to controller unit then electrical plug into wall or directly into the battery and the wall. Battery charger light turns from amber to green indicating the battery is fully charged. Only real complaint (but still giving overall 5 stars): To use the wheelchair, you also attach the controller screw on terminal plug to the battery you wish to use. This is not so easy due to location of batteries. Black on black makes it more difficult in normal light. The photo is bright because I used a flash, but in room light or shade, it’s difficult. The location is impossible to get to when the unit is folded. Unless there’s something I’m missing an improvement needs to be made when you want to switch battery use. Controller is easy to use. Wheelchair locks in place when controller is turned off. Horn sound is the same as the controller beeping sounds. Could probably do better. Think I’ll look for a klaxon or vintage rubber pump horn heh, heh. Very quiet motors at all speeds considering. You’ll hear them in a dead quiet house but otherwise motors are pretty quiet. Braking, turning are all very smooth and climbing a sloped driveway was easy. Braking or changing directions give off a click sound to alert you than things are happening. Batteries seem to hold their charge well so far. Speed? Yes. When sitting in a wheelchair even 1 mph seems fast in house. Practice, practice, practice. Seat and back padding are quite comfortable. They did a good job here. Storage case underneath seat is attached with a bazillion hook and loop fasteners. The case is all black and I found the zipper was a bit hard to find while “on the run.” Heavy stuff tends to really droop in the soft case. Wheelchair can be converted to manual push. This is easy to switch. Harder to push than a regular wheelchair what with the wheels being different and smaller, but it does the job. Handlebars are adjustable as well which helps a lot. Folded, it fits in the back of our Toyota Rav4 easily. About 70 pounds (1 strong person or 2 regular peeps lifting about 34 pounds each). I’m not yet convinced telescoping ramps are any good. I do recommend this wheelchair without hesitation. I researched my fanny off before buying a wheelchair and kept coming back to this one. Glad I did. ... show more

  • Wonky but comfortable
It is very easy for my caretakers to set up quickly and fold down. I cannot lift it myself at all. The batteries last forever and I'm so glad it has two, just in case.. It's also much more comfortable than I'd expected. The controls are somewhat wonky to handle and I've run into a lot of things or close to it out in public and hills are just ridiculous. I was hoping I wouldn't still need someone to push me up them, but even small inclines need help. I definitely could never take this out on my own, but I'm grateful to have something to join my family on outtings. I did have someone stop me to take a picture because they liked the look of it and were looking for a family member. ... show more

  • Set up is a snap
Within 15 minutes of arrival, I was using the chair! The wheelchair came folded up and held together with a few zip ties. All I had to do was unfold the chair, attach the joystick and plug in the battery. The hardest part was opening the box. The motorized chair has several speeds to choose from and the slowest speed is ideal for indoors. It smoothly transitions from hardwood floors to carpeting and fits through the doorways with no problem. It is easy to maneuver with the joystick, gives my shoulders and arms a break and allows me to carry some thing in the other arm. With a regular wheelchair you had to try to balance something on your lap. Hands-down, a winner all the way around. ... show more

  • The Aotedor Electric Wheelchair - an excellent choice’
I like the excellent Aotedor product which was delivered to my door this past Monday. The delivery was two days early, completely assembled and ready to use, after overnight battery charging. Today, I took the wheelchair out to my driveway and ran it up and down, for numerous test trips. Performance was perfect. I am very satisfied with this product and will recommend it to others who need assistance with mobility! My only suggestion to the Aotedor Company is that they begin to provide two chargers instead of just one, with every new wheelchair, because this will allow the purchaser to charge both batteries at the same time. • It works smooth!
The amazon ad and website go to great pains to tell you about the 24/7 customer support, yet they fail to actually put up a phone number or email address anywhere!!! There is little to nothing in the packaging about how to contact them either! I tried their WhatsApp number in the user manual and it didn't work or at least no one answered. I am considering returning this. Updated: I found the email address! The company returned my email and supplied all the contact info, so I feel much better about the purchase and I have up rated to four stars. I bought this wheelchair for my wife and so far, she loves it! ... show more

  • I love my wheelchair
Easy to use and so much more comfortable on my back than my scooter. Soft breathable cushion. Also I bought the one with the widest seat because I am a larger person. The seat size is bigger then what they give you on an airplane, so comfortable! I would like to add that I had an issue with my wheelchair. My problem was answered and solved in two days! Excellent customer service. That is hard to find these days! I highly recommend this company and their customer service! ... show more

  • Difficult to maneuver!
Due to the functioning and location of front wheel, along with inability control power output, the wheelchair is difficult to control.
