My Amazaon Echo (1st gen) wouldn't connect to the internet. After multiple attempts to reconnect, I called Amazon support. After several more attempts to reconnect, the Amazon representative concluded it the Echo needed to be replaced and credited my account with a 15% discount for a new device. However, later I recalled the representative had mentioned a faulty power supply (low voltage output) could cause the Echo not to connect to the internet. I took a chance and purchased this power cord replacement. I was delighted to find with the new power cord I was able to reconnect to the internet. A happy customer! HOWEVER! It’s been two months and the power supply just died. The green power on indicator light no longer comes on when plugged in to an outlet. I tried a couple of electrical outlets to be sure.
