I got two of these (with the screen protectors) as my kiddos' first tablets. Easy to install and set up right out of the box (they were already charged). The screens are crisp and responsive, even with the screen protectors. The cases are a thick foamlike material with the handle/stand that have protected against the occasional slip off a couch. Battery life is decent and works for the amount of time we allow per day (1-2 hours) no problem. They've had them for about two months now and the only issue has been that they sometimes freeze mid-play and need to be forced to restart. We don't ever power them off unless that happens so could just be that.. As for the software, very kid friendly, but definitely encourages lots of app downloads. I really appreciate the control I have with the Google Family Link (although you do need to create a Google account for your child to use it.) No regrets so far. Update: The flickering and freezing on my daughter's tablet continued to worsen. When I reached out to the company, they responded within the hour (late on a Sunday night) to offer a replacement. Very impressed with this company's customer service! Hopefully we don't experience the same issue with the new one. ... show more

I love the Plimpton kids tablets. It’s all I will ever buy for my kiddos. They are extremely durable and have a long battery life. My kids use them for watching movies on long car trips and we can go 2.5 days without even needing to plug in to charge! There are so many options for games on the Google play store. I love the Family Link app that I can put on my phone to be able to track what my kids are doing and able to set up times that their tablet will not work. I have 3 of these tablets for my kids ranging in age of 9-5 years old. They are not childish at all so my oldest likes that. But they are protective with the foam case that’s around them. The set up time is extremely quick and interactive with your child. The picture in the screen is very clear and not grainy. 10/10 would recommend this tablet to anyone looking. ... show more

If you are looking for a well performing tablet for the kiddos to use without breaking the bank this one will be the one for you. At this price point other competitors tablets usually have a smaller screen and less powerful processing power and storage space, but this Plimpton model is quite the opposite and it shows when in use. With fast bootup, excellent app performance and most importantly great battery life this tablet has been the best I've had so far for when the kids want to watch anything from our streaming services. With the version of Android running on the tablet you have options to keep things on lockdown as a parent so as to not worry about younger users accessing unnecessary or unwanted apps. I bought two of these for my twin boys and they love them! They are very easy to use and kid friendly! I love the parental controls. If I had one complaint it would be the battery life. We did have an issue with one of the tablets and it no longer charging. I reached out to the company with the issue and they were so quick to respond and get a replacement set up for us! I bought it for my 6 years old son birthday. He really likes it. The best part I have parenting control over it. This tablet felt multiple times and still stays strong. Its about a month now since I bought it. I planned on buying more for my daughters birthday. Battery wise, I can put a time cuz my son starts from 7am to 9pm and had to charge it in between. Bought this because I was sick of the Fire Tablets' secret monthly fees, difficult parental controls, and application support. Got two of these for my 3 & 7 year olds ahead of a plane trip and super pleased with how they operate. Have access to all of the google play store; my 7 year old can request applications and I can approve them on my own phone, I have the ability to schedule access via my phone and provide bonus time via my phone. The family link app is super simple to use and control the devices without ever having to touch the tablets directly.
