I previously used the Remarkable 2, so I was a bit hesitant about the price and larger size of the Pro. It is definitely bigger and on the more expensive side, but if you liked the Remarkable 2, you’ll love this device. It offers more capabilities, increased storage, and a noticeably faster response time. Both the fabric and leather covers are high quality, adding a nice premium touch. The media could not be loaded. Originally I got the reMarkable Paper Pro to take quick notes during calls and reduce the amount of sticky notes I have spread around my desk. At first it helped me become more organized and have a clean desk, but then I found more uses for it. I brought the Paper Pro to a work conference and expo recently. reMarkable made notes significantly easier when on my feet networking at events and while walking along the trade show halls talking to customers at different booths. Overall I fully recommend using the Paper Pro. It was super easy to send notes to my work computer and even convert them into text for a quick copy + paste into meeting reports. The pen is pretty cool too. I’ve used a Microsoft surface in the past and hated using the pen to take hand written notes. It felt weird and when my hand rested on the tablet, it would throw the notes off. With the Paper Pro, it actually feels like writing on paper, which was a real nice change up compared to the tablets I’ve used previously. Being able to use different colors and the highlighter was an added bonus. All in all, the Paper Pro is an excellent tool with the perfect blend of technology and simplicity. ... show more

Nothing even touched the screen. Barely got it out of the box, set it down on the counter to grab the pen and I come back and the screen has these lines through it. I’ve tried everything to fix it but it’s screws. What a waist. I’ll update my review if I’m sent a replacement. I shouldn’t have to deal with the hassle of returning an item that is clearly screwed before having a replacement sent. I was so excited for this. ... show more

Like the color version with the different highlighter and pen colors. Found a pdf version of the Bible and can add notes to the pages of the chapter I’m studying. That note page is the next page which is nice so you don’t have to go out of the book to find your notes!! I have the other remarkable also, but like the color version better. ... show more

This is the first e-paper tablet that I’ve owned besides a Kindle. I have always used a paper notebook and pen to keep notes for work and other projects but decided to try moving to an electronic notebook to make my notes easier to find. My first impression was really positive. The reMarkable is very easy to set up and it pretty much holds your hand until the setup is finished. It is a really polished product. It took some time to get used to how slow the screen is. I’ve used an iPad for years with instant display refreshes. The e-paper has a lot of lag comparatively. It’s not bad once I got used to it but it is certainly noticeable. I put it to use almost immediately, taking notes for a work project. It feels very comfortable and is very close to writing on paper. Searching my notes is very easy and the handwriting to typed text conversion worked great. I have very bad handwriting so I was pleased at the conversion accuracy. I used it for some doodling, too. Again, it works great and I enjoyed just drawing whatever came to mind. When I started using colors is when I started having second thoughts. The colors are slow to appear and are very muted. They look very different than the advertisements. I think that I would have been more satisfied with just a plain black and white notebook, especially given the difference in cost. I like reMarkable and what they have created but the color version isn’t ready for primetime, in my opinion. It works really well as a black and white notebook, though. ... show more

Overall I really like this eReader but it's very expensive considering the competition. I needed something I could upload thousands of PDFs to and to take notes. Battery life is outstanding. It does not run on Android so there is no simple way to transfer files to it, you must use their software which is somewhat limited. Also the max PDF size is 100MB so you will need to compress PDF files larger than that to save on the device. I really like the cloud sync! I can view and transfer notes and files from the eReader to my desktops. Overall it's a great eReader! ... show more

The reMarkable Paper Pro is a decent device. When it first came out, I was interested in the original reMarkable tablet because I thought it was cool and innovative. After using it, I felt drawn to something beyond just a notebook for taking notes. However, the price point is steep for such a simple device. Some design choices they made also puzzle me, such as using a Linux-based OS instead of Android. With Linux, there are significant limitations regarding app integration. For example, you can’t use Scrivener on the tablet, which can be discouraging for those wanting to use it for scriptwriting or book writing. If it were Android-based, this wouldn’t be an issue, but unfortunately, the stripped-down Linux OS doesn’t support it. The device has an ARM-based CPU, and with the weight of the Linux OS, it struggles with larger PDFs that have many pages or graphics. For this reason, it’s difficult to recommend as a PDF-only device. Despite these limitations, it’s very easy to use. The pen is highly responsive, and the eraser works seamlessly. Somehow, they managed to make it feel like writing on paper, which is a significant advantage over other devices where the pen feels like it’s gliding on glass without any grip or sensory feedback. This is not an issue with the Paper Pro, and I really enjoy that. If reMarkable could find a way to lower the price, this product would be perfect for college students or anyone who does a lot of writing. I’ve been able to get about a week and a half of battery life, which is impressive. Overall, it’s a solid device, but the price makes it hard to justify. ... show more
