It's that time of year when critters start seeking warm spots to settle before winter. I bought this product to help keep them out. The highest setting is pretty loud, so I set the devices on high in areas we don't use often. For the spaces we use more frequently, I set them to medium, which is quiet and unobtrusive. While setting one up, I noticed a spider nearby. Out of curiosity, I turned the device to the highest setting to see what would happen. The spider went berserk and eventually died. I was stunned—I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. It's been less than a week since I installed these, and the bugs seem to have completely disappeared. I have been so impressed by how well this product worked and continues to work. With weather changing and recent construction around us we were seeing mice and other bugs. We have several pets and I didn't want to use poison that could harm them and traps are mess and/or inhumane so I decided to give this a try. It took a couple of weeks for me to feel like it was really working and now it's been well over a month since we've seen a mouse or bug. My daughter can hear the medium and high setting. No one notices the low setting. I usually leave it set on medium now but in the beginning I put it on high at night.
