Should I Buy It?

If budget and lightweight, decent performance are of prime interest, this laptop is a good buy. However, if build quality and long-lasting battery capacity are non-negotiable for you, you might need to explore other options.

  • Best laptop I’ve ever had!
Capacity: 8GB RAM | 256GB SSD Style: Laptop
I have never heard of the Lenovo brand before purchasing this laptop. I work remotely, but still go into the office at least once a week, so I needed something I could carry around. My last HP laptop started slowing down after 2 years. My husband bought me this as a replacement and we were both pleasantly surprised at how good it was! It’s super fast and still going strong after 3 years (bought in 2022, now 2025…time flies). I have been using laptops for over 20 years and let me tell you, this ain’t your dad’s bulky laptop from the Y2K era. Even though the screen is quite big (how I like it), the body is thin when closed and it doesn’t feel bulky at all. It fits perfectly in my backpack without taking up a lot of space. The keyboard feels good when I’m typing and makes that nice clickety clack sound. The touchscreen has been very useful during my business meetings and I love the gold color, which makes it look expensive, even though it was on the “cheaper” side. The battery life is pretty good. I get maybe 4-5 hours unplugged after fully charging. That’s more than enough for me because I always have my charger with me anyway. This is just a very rough estimate. You’d think the “brand names” will give you a good quality laptop, but I have been very disappointed in some of them because they just don’t last very long. I will only buy Lenovo from now on. In fact, we bought 2 more Lenovos for our business because we know how good it is. I know this will start slowing down eventually as all computers do, but I will be purchasing another one when that happens. I’m hoping to get at least another year or 2 out of this one. I’ll update my review when it’s time for a replacement. ... show more

  • Incredible value, great little machine
Capacity: 8GB RAM | 256GB SSD Style: Laptop
When we left home for one of our rare extended vacations, I wanted a laptop for my wife that didn't need a lot of bells and whistles but did have to be up to date, fast enough with enough RAM to run Office apps and browse comfortably, was dependable. and well priced. This was a great choice. It includes features I dared not hope to obtain at this price point, including a SSD drive and touchscreen, and she is very happy with it. Because she is not a big media user and saves her document work to the cloud, the small disk drive is not an issue. The built-in camera does quite nicely and the 15.6-inch screen is really as big as you should want for travel or even a laptop home use. The only not-so-great things to be aware of are (a) the screen leaves something to be desired; (b) battery life is not so great; and (c) you've got to yank Windows out of S-Mode unless you want only Microsoft-approved software, a "safety feature" no one asked for, of course. These are quibbles for most users looking for economical laptops. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Lenovo laptop
Capacity: 8GB RAM | 256GB SSD Style: Laptop
When I bought this laptop I was looking for a large screen which this has, my husband and I watch a lot of YouTube videos. So I needed a large screen. This was not hard to set up. We don't do any gaming on this laptop so I can't comment on that. I got this on sale

  • So far so good
Capacity: 8GB RAM | 256GB SSD Style: Laptop
Item ordered from seller " Best Electronics, SN Recorded" ( I am pretty sure second part is not part of the name!!). It arrived fast, earlier than projected. It was nicely packaged and arrived in condition as promised. It has been working well out of the box so far. The seller was responsive to my questions prior to item arriving: they clarified that it is not backlit keyboard and the Windows is in S mode and the warranty is less than 1 year. I have successfully deactivated the S mode. The screen quality is not fantastic but good enough. The processor is fast enough for daily work. I dont think this would be best for gaming. I have only had it for a few days now I will write an update soon. ... show more

  • Broke after 40 minutes setting up.
Capacity: 8GB RAM | 256GB SSD Style: Laptop
The media could not be loaded. I was angry with myself for not reading the description close enough in the first place - it won't work with a pen mouse! But oh well, I bought it, so I started setting it up. First thing: Windows 11 sucks. Looks like all the did was fix a lot of features that weren't broken. Well, eventually I reached the point where you have to install all the upgrades released since it was made. After a couple of them had installed, up popped a message saying I needed to restart, so I did that. And when it came back - what I got was a desktop that refreshed each second or so. I looked online. The only solution I could find was to reset the thing to factory defaults by pressing the "NOVO" button. Aha, but where IS the NOVO button? "Each model is different." I still have not found it, though I've looked at dozens of pictures on Google Images. I did spend $$$ on the Asurion protection thing but have been too busy to follow up with that. I can't read the serial number because it's on a label on the back in 2-pt type with poor contrast. To top it off, the screen quality isn't good, no way to adjust the contrast, and much poorer than that on my Lenovo Yoga, which is maybe 4 years old. What a piece of trash this is. ... show more
