    • It Works But It Blows Out Outlets

The immersion water heater stick works but keep this alert in mind -- it uses SO MUCH power that it blows out the electrical outlets. The outlet stops working. We've had to call an electrician to come and give an estimate on fixing all the plugs and lights (and microwave) that have stopped working because of using this immersion water heater. Don't use it on a GFI outlet and don't use it where anything else is on the same line so-to-speak. On the four listed CAUTIONS shown on the box, number 4 does say "The power of the product is high. Be sure to choose good quality socket." The house is not old and the electrical is up to date but heating a bucket full of water with this immersion stick is going to cost big bucks to pay the electrician. We are so disappointed because we really need the convenience of this water heating stick. This item does work and is convenient but it's possible the cost will be very high if you have to pay for the damage it causes. Buyer beware -- even if you think you have a "good quality socket." ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Great small appliance, plug and play, very easy. Good for when you out of hot water, need heat up water in your outdoor play tub. Detailed instruction, with great caution for safety usage. Also come with thermostat and cleaning steel rub. The time you need to spend about 20-30 min, let's say this once you plug and leave in water, no need worry and additional care. Great one! ... show more

The plastic top melted and caught fire when I started it. There’s a little sticker on it (not on the instructions) that says not to start it until fully immersed in water, so operator error. Still the plastic too shouldn’t catch fire. I bought it because it had a metal surround. Didn’t realize the top was plastic. Too cheap materials. Oh well. Don’t buy this one.
