My stick vac had a release button wear out and break from all the usage (a few pets). The choices were to replace the tube or get a replacement button for 1/3 the cost. I was surprised how simple it was to install. Just about a minute at most. Quick test showed it was working without issues. In fact; it showed a previous problem of the button not releasing when the tube was installed to the vacuum. It was an infrequent problem that was going on for a few months and thinking about it; it’s a warning the button is about to wear out and pop out. I am happy with this. ... show more

The button popped right and in and I was so excited, but when I be went to remove the piece the button was on I had to press really hard on it to get it to release. I was able to get it but my adult daughter was not. Update: I ended up having to file part of the button so that we didn't break the rest of the vacuum. Very disappointing. It definitely works but beware you will need a little extra hand strength to get your pieces apart. ... show more
