  • Rods are perfect for torsion springs
These are the exact tool you need for winding the springs on a torsion style garage door. I contemplated making my own, but these were such a time saver and a good value. Grips are handy and effective. Rods are chamfered for easy insertion and fit the tension cones well. I was confident in using them. As well made as finished rod of steel can be. ... show more

  • Won't do the job without them.
I did some upgraded garage springs after one of mine broke. These definitely did the job quickly and safely. I can tell you that one will be kept under the seat of each of my cars for protection. They are made very well and would recommend to anyone ready to do the job.

  • Strong and perfect for winding and adjusting springs
These are the perfect size and strength for adjusting garage door springs. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that working on springs is dangerous! Yes you can install and/or adjust them yourself but: --LEARN HOW FIRST. There are lots of guides and videos online to help you with this --USE THE PROPER TOOLS. Use these rods that are designed to handle the tension the springs are under. --BE SAFE. Use protective gear and NEVER get right behind your winding rods in case they get thrown or spun by a spring. ALWAYS be off to the side. A good DIY video will demonstrate this. ... show more

  • Can't screw up 2 steel rods
Bought to have on-hand, haven't used but they are simply two 1/2 inch steel rods. Can't mess that up.

  • Perfect fit
Used for my garage at home. They do just the job, don’t know what they mean by no snug fit, but I fixed my springs on my own and managed to hold them with these. Durable, long, and got the job done.

  • The real thing
Finally got around to buying these. I’ve repaired my garage door a few times and never had genuine winding bars-I always had to use tools that weren’t made for that purpose. I’m lucky I was never injured or killed. Now I have the real thing and I’m so relieved because my door WILL break again and I WILL have the right tool this time! ... show more
