I used this on two stainless steel plates. I sprayed three even coats, letting it dry for about three hours before running the engraver. It maintained a super fine level of detail. For durability, I was able to bend the plate afterwards to a slight radius (while covering the face of the engraving with a cloth) and it worked really well. This is the perfect solution for a customer request to engrave their throwing axes. These require a bit more work than just spraying on and lasering, such as wet sanding beforehand and sealing afterwards.

Works great with my xtool p2! Took a minute to figure out the settings. It's also very powdery once dry so you have to be careful moving it before marking. Settings were coated metal, then selected engraving, power 85 speed 250 and 200 lines.

This stuff isn't magic. It won't make your CO2 laser in to a fiber laser. I guess I can't say it doesn't work, but it's not magic. Super annoying having to grind through test after test to find the settings you want to use at a product of this price-point. Doesn't seem like magic to me, seems like an aerosol powder with acetone base and wipes off easily. Kind of annoying mess and overspray. I don't really recommend it for anything more than "I tried it so I don't have any excuses" Unless you're a pro and specify you have to use this stuff, probably best to skip trying it. ... show more

Yeah, it's a little pricey but I suspect that it will treat several pieces and if you are charging for your work it should be easy to incorporate into the cost of the item(s) without making the price unreasonable to your customers. You can see in the pictures that I sprayed a portion of the butter knife blade with the Brilliance marking spray and left a portion untreated so I could compare the results and I was very pleasantly surprised at what a difference it made! Followed instructions to the letter, the markings wipe right off. They refuse to accept returns, buyer beware. This product is horrible.
