The large backlit LCD numbers are easily readable across the room and the addition of a humidity readding is a plus as well. Installation was done in minutes and it has worked flawlessly for the past couple of months. Being able to adjust the temperature to a fraction of a degree, saves having the system come on too early or too late and it has already saved us between 20 to 30 dollars a month on our power bill. This product came with wire labels to make installation super easy. The whole process took about 15 minutes and most of that was hand turning screws. Display is bright and large sized making it easy to read. Works great!     • Functional thermostat that works well and looks nice, but cheaply made
Overall, this is a decent thermostat. It took it an hour or so to acclimate and record an accurate temperature (even though it was sitting in the house for a while anyway), so give it a minute after install. mine read 3 or 4 degrees high for the first hour, but it's good now. Install and hookup were easy. The terminals are clearly labeled on the mounting plate, and the little connection screws work fine. They are tiny though; make sure you have a very small screwdriver on hand. It's super easy to use with only a couple of standard buttons and switches. The display is big, and nicely lit when a button is pushed. It looks pretty nice on the wall. In use, it works fine. It has a couple of things that I thought were a worrisome. -1, when first powered on, the screen flickered noticeably for maybe 30 seconds. Why? I have no idea what it was doing, other than just sitting there, but the screen wasn't happy. -2, the screen also flickers every time it clicks the heat on. It seems like the relays are asking for a lot of power from the two AAA batteries, and the screen has a hard time dealing with the power surge. My Honeywell thermostat doesn't do this. -3, the "click" when the thermostat activates is LOUD. There are 3 distinct clicks every time the heat turns on *CLICK* *CLICK*....*CLICK*. It's at least twice as loud as my Honeywell, and you can hear it from the across the room even if the TV is on. So, it works, and it's cheap, and those are two very good things for a thermostat. I worry the cheapness will show up eventually. The screen flickering and the excessively loud relays are both cause for concern for it's longevity, but we'll see how long it lasts. I think it's obvious they cut some corners when compared to the name brand thermostats, but that might be ok depending your application. ... show more

My digital Honeywell thermostat died after three years of service. Cost $50, now at $80. Replaced it with this for $30. Bigger, better display. Works great. EDIT: Two months later, the fan would not shut off when attaining set temperature. Push set temp down one degree, instant off. Went through a no heat spell, thermostat worked fine......for a few hours. The +/- setting is on default .5 degrees. Now I need to make a warranty claim, and there is NO information available. Nothing in the (very good) little manual, nor on the store website. A two year warranty isn't much good when you can't contact the seller. ... show more
