I'm not sure what people were complaining about. I LOVE this ramp. It's the best one I have tried. Ok, the only issue was the directions were poor. There were a few things to figure out on your own.     • Didn’t survive its first use. Amazon iignoring my request for a refund for defective product
On its first trip, while traveling 65 mph on the interstate the $5,000 e-bike it was carrying fell off the back of the vehicle. We were only 30-40 minutes into the trip and all on main roads. Later we determined that one of the strapes broke, causing the bike to rock, which loosened the gripper knob, which gave way causing the second strap to break and the bike to fall. For such a high end rack, the straps should never have broken. ..certainly not on its maiden trip. It was nothing short of a miracle that the bike just fell to the side of the road and not into the vehicles behind us. ... show more

We bought this and had no problem with assembling. In the first leg of our trip when we went yo get bikes off they were scratched from the clamp. Not happy figuring when I got around to the review I’d note that. Second day out (I will note the highways of northern New Mexico can be bumpy as the highways of eastern Arizona) we were passed by a car that held up a sign with the word “bike” written on it. We pullover to find the straps (BOTH) had snapped and one of the bikes was gone! We retraced and never found the bike (someone had a mailed $1200 bike). We immediately put two of our straps we had in the RV on the other bike. I can’t emphasize the dismay at the price of this rack for it to totally disfunction leaving us without a EBike that was expensive and 2 months old. Move on in your search for a bike holder. ... show more

The first time we used this bike rack the metal ripped dropping our bikes on the ground while we were driving. It had a 200 lbs capacity, our bikes were not that heavy. Our bikes sustained lots of damage that had to be repaired before we could use them. This product isn’t cheap but definitely not worth the price. ... show more

The rack is a little small too small for my large e-bike. I have a large birch grolar. One of the stabilizers is broken I’ll definitely need that replaced. My bike is a step through, and I’m not sure that the stabilizer is adequate The whole rack rocks back-and-forth quite a bit in my 2 inch receiver. ... show more
