  • Great experience
Color: 4Ply Black Pearl
I had seen some other reviews mentioned that the holes didn't quite line up, but they lined up perfectly with my MIM Stratocaster. Felt like a nice solid piece of equipment, bolted in nicely accepted all of the original hardware, and I think it looks great with the purple! Great experience, quick shipping, I really like the special look that it gives my guitar ... show more

  • Decent for the price
Color: 4Ply Aged Pearl
For $15, this pick guard looks pretty great and seems to be well made. From the comments I gathered some people were having problems with screw holes not lining up but this is the second one I’ve purchased from this company and I didn’t have any problems with mine. Everything fit perfectly on my MIM strat. As far as durability is concerned, it’s just as good as a fender branded one. Remember there’s 2 layers of protective film on these. Many people don’t take the second one off and that’s whats scratching so easily. After you take the second one off, it’s just as durable as a Fender branded one in my opinion. No need to spend 2x much on a Fender one. I’m happy with with the product overall. The white Pearl is more of a cool white, like how white LEDs look kinda blue. I ended up replacing it with a plain ivory guard instead. I like it better. Matches my surf green strat better. Looks more vintage with the aged white knobs and pickup covers ... show more

  • Very close to Fender pickguards, perfect fit
Color: 4Ply Aged Pearl
I'm building a custom Stratocaster, and I had bought a "White Moto" pickguard from Fender along with some of the parts I needed. When I saw this IKN pickguard later I bought it, thinking the "aged pearl" color may fit my build better. Of course, with the off-brand selections there's always the chance that it won't fit just right. Well, it fits. With the two pickguards pressed up against each other, all of the holes are perfectly lined up. You can see in my pictures that the shape is very slightly different around some of the corners, but the important thing is that the screw holes line up. It also looks like the pearl effect is slightly less intense on the IKN versus the Fender pickguard. It's not a huge difference though , and no one will be able to tell unless they do a side by side comparison. Both are shielded, which is nice. The IKN is very slightly thinner, measuring 0.09 inches in thickness compared to the Fender which is 0.1 inches. It's a very small difference that you can barely tell when you're holding them, but is impossible to see. Finally, the price. Sure, you could say the Fender is marginally better. But it costs $50. It's certainly not THAT much better. My next project will be a Telecaster, and I'll be getting an IKN pickguard without question. ... show more

  • Looks great and fit well
Color: 4Ply Aged Pearl
I used this on a 90's ESP and it fit well. Holes lined up, had to file a bit at the neck joint, but that may be a difference between Fender and ESP necks, not sure. I did drill some holes to get the trem cover to fit perfectly, but again, it may be perfect on a Fender or Squier, I can't say. Otherwise, material is good, thick, looks nice, no issues. ... show more

  • Fine for a custom strat build
Color: 3Ply Black
Quality is fine, but not a perfect match for Fender strat, especially not my '93 MIM strat. Doesnt line up with screw holes, or neck placement. Skinny arm seems to be a bit slimmer than OEM. Had to return.
