Upgraded a Squier Classic Vibes 50's Telecaster with these. They were easy to install, look the business, sound good, and really improved the intonation of the guitar to boot. The saddles were a little crammed together as I installed them in the bridge, and for a minute I thought they might not all fit side by side, but I monkeyed them around a bit and it all worked out. Installation tip: If you're replacing existing saddles like I did, take a bunch of pictures of the current ones from a bunch of angles before starting, making sure you can see how much threading is sticking out of the top of each, how deep the little pegs under each saddle are, how the saddles sit in relation to each other, etc. It'll help you get close to where the old ones were when you install the new ones, which should save you some time when it comes to setting up the guitar, although you'll still need to fuss with everything to get it just right.     • GREAT RETURN ON A SMALL INVESTMENT - brass saddles bring better action for me
Replaced a set of steel barrel saddles with these Wilkinson Brass Compensated saddles, The steel saddles were a little too wide for the neck and even after sanding the edges they still wouldn't sit properly. So ordered these gems, took about 15 minutes to put them on, I have a string thru ashtray style bridge, so I replaced them one at a time (2 strings per saddle) so I could use the old saddles as a visual guide for placement of the new saddles. I used my old saddle screws and springs as they were longer and gave me more adjustment should I need it. After replacement I was able to lower my action slightly and had much better intonation. Strings now have even spacing and playing is more better too. Think these are a keeper. ... show more

Have barrel style saddles on your telecaster? Then upgrade to Wilkinson brass compensated saddles. Your guitar will thank you being able to be intonated properly and it'll play like a dream. Highly recommend and I promise you won't regret it!

I replaced the steel saddles on a LyxPro Tele copy with these. This type leaves the action slightly higher on the high E string. I can always cut a groove in the saddle if need be, but I don't think it'll be a problem. Unless I lost it when I opened the package there wasn't a wrench.
