The thicker high end flooring is a little harder to cut. I have done two 700 sq ft rooms with this and it still works. I still use a circular saw for the rips. But this beats the "scoring and snap" method the manufacturer recommends. Charge 25% to the customer because I think it will last about 4 jobs. ... show more

    • Works well for most cuts.
I attempted to cut a vinyl plank down the length as the picture shows; it did not go well. It does cut the length of the blade but then just breaks that piece off. So if you need a longer strip than the width of the blade it'll have to be done another way. However cutting to shorten the planks worked very well. I ordered this CUTTEREX 13" Free 360° couple of weeks ago. It arrived, I used it in one cut of a 7mm think PLV and the leveler peace broke off. It is made of some sort of spongy metal that crumble in my fingers. Since you cannot return the product to Amazon, I contacted the manufacturer. Great customer service, I explained what happened with the cutter, they sent me a replacement cutter a week or 2 later, this time the whole assembly is solid but it does not cut longways, just chews the planks. The whole reason I bought it was for the long cuts because I did not want to use a saw due to the toxic dust when you cut planks using a circular saw or jig saw. Sturdy, went through the vinyl plank with ease and straight. Cut the install time by almost half. Did 3 bedrooms and a hallway without issue. Definitely worth it.
