I have a small rabbit and the house is a good size for it. However, I do open the doors during the day for free roaming on a specific area of the house. I needed to glue some wire plastic covers for some areas of wood to prevent it from being eaten by the rabbit. I think this could be better built for rabbit lime adding metal reinforcement in the interior to prevent it from being eaten by the rabbit. For exterior I would add a wood weather resistant primer and some flooring. My rabbit loves it and she was free roaming for 2 years. ... show more

Fairly easy to put together, wood will split if you’re not careful. Realistically holds 3 to for chickens max comfortably. So far chickens have been in for a few weeks and they seem happy. Durable enough to hold up to raccoons and other predators etc. Will update at a later time also.

My 12-yr-old and I had a great time putting this together. It was a very simple, IKEA-style assembly process (but note that no tools are included). My only complaint is that the hardware cloth doesn't wrap around the bottom. The open base on the ground means that predators can either dig under the cage walls or lift the lightweight run section and get to your chickens. We'll be adding more mesh ourselves. ... show more

I got this for my sister who really wants to start her own chicken raising. They have a decent-sized back yard in town and it is walled in with nice 7 foot-tall fence. There is enough space in the yard for chickens to roam around and play - but they needed a place to nest and shelter. This has worked perfectly for her needs. It was pretty easy to assemble, with four adults putting it together in about 30 minutes. It looks very nice, good materials, and takes the guesswork out of how to design a coop from scratch.
