I use my garage as a temporary video studio when needed. The garage is concrete block construction and has a lot of hard surfaces that bounce the sound around. I have a couple small area rugs that help absorb the sound but it is not enough. I expect these acoustic panels to help absorb some of the excess sound and echo that is still in the room. These tiles have a great look and are very easy to work with. They cut easily with a utility knife. Using a metal straight edge as a guide allows perfectly straight smooth cuts. The backing sheet is easily pulled away from the tile. The adhesive seems to be perfect for the job. It provides a good firm initial tack to the surface so you'll want to position the tile perfectly right from the start. I was able to remove one tile and reposition it without damage to the wall or the tile but I think I was just lucky. These tiles really stick well to the surface. These were really easy to get set up with the exception being the first tile placed. if it is diagonal, the whole thing will end up diagonal. I have not been able to thoroughly test how well it absorbs sound, but from initial findings it does help. Overall, I would grab another one as the design alone is enough to decorate and the sound dampening is a bonus. ... show more

These panels are 11 3/4" from any side, and they are 13 1/2" corner to corner. The thickness is 5/16", which is 0.3125". The Sesame Black color matches the Amazon page. Setting the stack of these on each side on a flat table, it appears there are all cut the same size. I didn't have any alignment issues when installing these. I was able to remove and reattach a couple of these after around 7 minutes. They stick very well, and left some sticky material on the painted wall. They reattached fine. These are attractive and are manufactured consistently. I followed multiple online suggestions, and placed these in two groups on two walls. The suggestions says to have a friend move a mirror around on the walls until you can see a speaker in the mirror from where you will be seated, and to place the panels there, using 2 feet of panels centered on that point (or more for a seating range). This is supposed to improve sound quality and is related to "first reflection." I need to apply more of these in two other areas. One of the two areas was behind one of my surround sound speakers (small speaker, part of soundbar system), and I am definitely hearing the sound out of that speaker better now. This matches something else I read, so I will also be placing these behind my other surround sound speaker an subwoofer. ... show more

I can’t say much else that other reviewers haven’t said. These panels were the correct size and color that I ordered them in. I like that they’re self-adhesive so I didn’t have to worry about how to mount them. I like the design. The grooves might give them a tiny more surface area than just flat panels. Good - they function just like any acoustic panel, they are a little extra thick, and notably dampen echo and sound transference immediately. Included sticky side holds to a wall very well, and they can be removed or moved at least once with ease and still stick back to the wall. Bad - Not all pieces are cut the exact same. within tolerance if you are making a design, but if you want a solid block style there are going to be gaps. Honestly not a major complaint, but wanted to make note of it. Image shows a TINY gap, but that was a design choice since I couldnt make a solid mat out of them. I am not unhappy, they work great, docked a single star for poor QA ... show more

These are nice acoustic panels. It is a bit disappointing that because of how they packaged them (shrink wrap) the corners were kind of smashed down. But they still look nice on the wall in the pattern we chose. They work well as far as we can tell - if you hold one up to an ear you can absolutely hear a difference. The adhesive is something like a heavy duty double sided tape. A couple of them did come with the grooves not quite cut enough and we had to pull a strip out, but overall they're good and we're happy with them. ... show more

These panels came packaged really well; none were damaged. Though not as thick as sound proof panels, they're good for toning down overall noise. Love the contemporary shape and design that adds a little design flair to the wall.
