  • must have with toddlers or even elderly
I've always secured our furniture for the kids' safety, but have found that it is an important step for elderly people who grab anything nearby when they get unstable. The cords on these are longer than I'd like. You have to wrap them at least twice to get the furniture secure enough it won't pull the screws out from the wall, but I guess it's better to wrap them twice than to have them not reach your furniture. An important note - you have to find a thick enough piece of your furniture to screw in the bracket without splitting the wood. (This is not a design flaw of the anchors.) We ended up adding a chunk of wood to the top of our bookshelf to secure the bracket. It's also smart to sink the wall bracket it into a stud in the wall. Fortunately, these are low-profile and attaching them to a stud doesn't show from the front. They aren't too much work to put in and *so* worth the safety. ... show more

  • Effective
This is my second set of these - I was happy enough with the first set I'm ordering a second set! I was really impressed with these. I would recommend finding a stud as your target for the screws, which if that is the case you won't need the plastic anchors. For where I'm installing, I'll be able to hit one of the two installation points against a wall stud behind the drywall. Even without that though, I'd still be comfortable with my specific install. I would recommend a better screw/anchor if you have any doubts. I think a toggle bolt or steel hollow wall anchors would give the greatest resistance to pulling out from the wall under pressure. Gauge the need based on your specific scenario, but the provided ones will work probably 75% of the installations. ... show more

  • Good to fix furnitures
This furniture anchor package is good to have all I need, such as anchors, screws, strings. This package was delivered with a broken box, not sure if any component is missing.

  • Securing our movable shelves in the garage
We have several tall, free-standing, storage shelves in our garage that really needed to be anchored to the wall. We can adjust the achors to the stud walls for better security. The big advantage for us - if we decided to more the shelves, it should be easy to move the anchors to fit another stud wall. We can loop the cable around the shelf unit, so we don't need to add the bracket. Since we'll only be using half of the brackets, we'll need to buy more cables (or long zip ties?) to use the rest. For our use, this will secure all 3 of the shelf units ... show more

  • Package has some Weight
These are not "light" fixtures. They are made with real metal materials. The box arrived with display information about the product, a small flat box. But the weight of the product had compromised the perforated opening. Nothing had been lost that I can tell, but it is open. Made in China These are longer than some straps, would work well for furniture that is next to more decorative floor Moulding. Some of our furniture seems to be so far from the walls. I always weight load the bottom of my book shelves. These seems to be a good quality and should hold a piece of furniture if it begins to tip. ... show more

  • Easy to install
These furniture anchors are pretty easy to install. I always find a stud in the wall, as I don’t want to cause a big hole with the anchors, and then place it accordingly on the furniture. These have a long enough cable to double loop it which seems extra secure. I prefer this much more over the standard zip tie anchor. These arrived quickly and without damage. ... show more
