So I will just start by saying it loses a star because I'm still unsure if this charges from 0 percent or not. The pictures make it seem so. But reading the instructions the batteries do need a specific voltage to charge the batteries. They do say the charger basically learns your battery behavior. So I'm unsure if just initially you can't charge from 0 percent or if forever you can't. It would seem that after learning it just will charge up from any percent but they never clarify that. Everything else seems great and it's working fine so far. The lack of indicators is something I dislike. I would say it's important to follow the directions as this is not just plug and play. Also, make sure you get the correct plug as they can't be swapped. For the most budget trickle charger I saw in my short look on Amazon this charger does what chargers almost twice the price do. No complaints from me. I'd recommend it as of right now. ... show more

My old charger weighs about 25 pounds (or so it seems) and is so loud I know it annoys my neighbors. Time for a change. This little powerhouse weighs just a few pounds, and is so quiet you barely know it's running. No problems charging my golf cart batteries. Charging time depends on how much charge the batteries have. I would have liked to see a small carrying handle on this, but it's still a fine charger. ... show more

I got tired of the big Clump key super heavy original Transformer style Charger which never seemed to keep the batteries up very well and it would either constantly charge till it tried to cook my batteries to death or it would switch off and stay off even if the battery is slowly drifted down. Not with this one it's got multiple charge modes it's completely automatic and when I'm ready to climb on the cart the cart's ready for me. I needed this before it got here, so I amped up 2 separate batteries with this, and it took 6 hours each only to restore them to full working power. Great, solid hardware. A bit longish on the metal on the plugs it seemed because my female connector for this didn't allow those flat metal paddles on the plug to go all the way in (smallish like 1/8" or 10mm gap between plugs, no big deal). ... show more
