  • Perfect
Size: 10pc Diamond bits 3/16" to 5/8"
Start at an angle as suggested. Works like a charm. Made my work look professional, and sped up the process rather than making multiple cuts to make the tile fit before

  • Worked Well
Size: 5 Pcs 3/16“ Diamond Bits
Worked very well in ceramic tile. Drilled 4 holes with one bit and the bit is still good! Tried several brand name bits from a big box store, they were only good for one hole before they were worn out. Would buy again.

  • Cuts Through Porcelain Tile
Size: 5 Pcs 5/16“ Diamond Bits
Ruined a carbide tipped drill bit and made little progress in drilling four holes to mount a shower curtain rod. Then tried one of these and it made a world of difference. As others have said, these hollow-core bits will skip around on the tile if you attempt to start the hole head-on at a 90° angle. I opted to drill a guide hole in a wood block and used that to keep the bit in one spot and steady enough to start the hole in the porcelain tile. Be patient. It takes time but only slight pressure and you will be pleased with the results. ... show more

  • Hard to say how good these were on porcelain tile...
Size: 8 Pcs Diamond Bits
I bought these specifically to be able to drill through the ±8mm porcelain tile in my shower. I drilled 2x 3/16" holes. While I was successful, it took about 10minutes for the first hole and maybe 15min for second. Tho instructions said it was not necessary, I sprayed frequently with a spritzer of water. I started with a 3/16" bit, but I found that the holes would be actually larger, so I reverted to a 1/4" bit, and then enlarged with the 3/16" in the end, which seemed to help accuracy in this case (the bits not having a pilot). I would say the bits are spent. Note that porcelain is generally significantly harder than regular glass or glazed ceramic tile, and even many stone types, so I am not entirely surprised that the bits worked so slowly, but I am still a little disappointed that the bits weren't more effective or durable. I wonder if product quality was a factor, or if I just have good porcelain. In the end I don't know if I can blame the product, or just accept that the job conditions were challenging. I wonder if anyone with more experience with porcelain tile can comment? ... show more

  • Great bits!
Size: 5 Pcs Diamond Bits
Bought this set so that I could put a drainage hole in the bottom of a large ceramic pot. Slow and steady, start at an angle and spray with water to cool the bit and ceramic. The set was relatively inexpensive and arrived quickly. I have only used the largest bit one time, but it did and amazing job! Will be taking them to work for installing fixtures in a tiled restroom. ... show more
