These were exactly what I needed to be able to raise the roof on my generator house, as my wife calls it, so i dont bump my head if I have to work on the generator or put gas in it.. I was unsure if they were the correct size after I purchase the wrong ones first , of course I was thinking I knew what i was doing and was wrong. So i licked my wounds and sucked it up then I asked the seller a question and got a response within 12 hours. They asked me to send a picture of what i was using them on. Then sent the picture back with color coded lines drawn on it. Those lines showed me exactly where they wanted me to get weight and length measurements at the specific point to make sure I got the correct mounting brackets and the correct size gas springs according to the information they requested. I was given spot on directions on where to install them with amazing accuracy just from a couple questions I answered for them and the picture i sent. I have a couple of projects and they sell some of the item and I will buy from them going forward and not my normal seller. ... show more

The small screws provided are not enough to hold 120lbs. Its easy to exchange them for larger screws or bolts. other than that, awesome product for the price. very nice. this is just a notice for people installing into wood using struts holding more than 100 lbs each.
