Needed poles set around around my back patio to hang edison bulbs on, these are the perfect height to swag lights or garland without anything getting in the way. These affix to the ground using four prongs at the bottom, I put mine directly into the ground as I have flower beds around the majority of my patio but these would look great in containers. And call me crazy, but I'm probably going to attempt to hang a screen for outside movie projection on a couple of them. I think they are strong enough to handle it.     • Works well. Very sturdy. Worth a little prep to make sure they are plum.

The poles where super easy to assemble. I let my 4 year old help put them together. Installation requires a little pre-work if you want them plum vertical. I used a tape measure and a level to mark the holes on all 4 posts of our deck and pre-drilled the holes for the screws that hold the clamps. I then loosely screwed in the clamps and slid the poles in place. I tightened the screws after I checked that each pole was vertical with my level. ... show more

I purchased these for my string lights, and they did the job I only used 2, which is fine because i originally wanted 4, but I only needed 2 and they did the job, however when we’d pull on the lights while trying to hang them, they’d pull back but that was probably the pavestone wall issue or if we didn’t have the proper tools maybe idk? We ordered 2 packs of the String Light Poles for our outdoor event, to add additional outdoor lighting and for decoration purposes. We did not want to keep the lights as a permanent structure so these worked well for what we wanted. It also comes with reinforcement screws to keep the poles in place. We also used zip ties to keep the lights in place, but this isn't necessary. The poles measured a little less than advertised.
