    • Great price & okay video, but poor audio quality
I choose this camera because it was the cheapest one I found with good reviews. The video quality is okay (grainy images) and the wide angle is nice. The privacy cover is a snap on (no adhesive tape needed) that flips down to conceal the lens which is great! There’s an adjustable monitor clip that isn’t meant to secure it tightly, but more of a way to gently hold it in place during use. The downside is that the audio quality is terrible and that’s a big problem. I tested this on 2 different a laptops with an external monitor, and a wired headset with a mic. The mic volume was set to maximum. The results were the same. The webcam mic is the clearest with the webcam less than 1 foot in front of you, but it’s still not very clear and from that distance it isn’t useful for video. If you use it on the monitor, as I assume most of us would, then your voice will be low and muffled. The only way to use the webcam on the monitor is to add an external microphone. The wired headset mic I used sounded as clear as the laptop mics. I plan on keeping the webcam because I didn’t want to have to gamble with finding another affordable webcam or even an expensive one that might end up with the same issue. The video quality is decent enough, so I just ordered an external microphone instead. Let’s see how that turns out. I still gave the product 4 stars because of the great price, decent video quality, neat privacy cover and fast shipping. I would only recommend this webcam to people if they won’t be talking on their meetings or online classes; and if they do have to speak then they don’t mind or prefer using a headset with a mic. ... show more

    • Not the best picture quality, but will work well enough for most
This camera is not for shooting 1080p video, but I don't believe anyone is using webcams for that anyways. For doing skype/zoom/meet/etc video chat, this works just fine. If you have a laptop, the builtin camera is probably as good or better, but if you need something for a desktop that will work regardless of OS, then this is a bargain. Even the crappy light in my gloomy apartment was sufficient for this thing to work, and the video wasn't laggy like a few others I've tried. More details: The mount isn't great, but its good enough for getting it into the right position on my monitor for people to see me. Just don't expect it to hold up if it gets disturbed by a wandering elbow, etc. No tripod hole, so dont bother if you need one. The privacy cover isn't builtin, but it attaches reasonably securely on the top without any adhesive, so it should work long term as long as you don't lose it. No recording light, which may or may not be a desired feature. No idea about the sound, as I'm using it purely for video. Cord is removable/replaceable, which is nice if its ever damaged. ... show more

    • Perfect solution - great price
We purchased this for my son to use with an older desktop for distance learning and it is perfect. He was hoping to use my iMac because of the picture quality but was using his ipad and having difficulty actually doing the work. This inexpensive webcam solved all our problems. He said he feels like the picture quality is just as good as the iMac. What I really like is how easy it was to install. No downloading. Just plug into usb and we were ready to go. Also the clip can be attached to the computer but also folds down so it can sit on a flat surface! Love that when using a tall monitor. Also the camera can be angled to sitting on a monitor it points down to see my son who is too short to be seen on my other desktop camera. Also it comes with a clip that covers the camera when not in use! I didn't see it in any of the feature pictures so that was a nice surprise! The one thing I think could be improved was the tension that the clip has to grip on to things. It holds lightly in place but if you hit it accidently it will definitely fall off. So very happy with this purchase! I was worried when I saw some reviews about the pic quality but we were very pleased. The scope / range of view was wide - I wish there was some way of zooming in closer. There is no need to see my entire room in the background...just my face would be sufficient. There should be a spring-type closure on the handle to attach to something...instead I have to use a rubberband or some other sort of clip to hold it upright. ... show more

    • For the price, this is a great webcam for business meeting
Since the world went pretty much virtual after the pandemic hit, I really needed a good webcam that was inexpensive, good video and audio quality. When I first came across this webcam, I though that this probably wouldn't be a good webcam due to the fact it was priced on the low end. But I though what the heck, for the price I will give it a shot. Well I must say I am so glad I made this purchase! For me it was just plug in and go! No real set-up required. I have used this webcam on different virtual meeting platforms such as Skype, Teams, Zoom, and may more. I found the picture quality perfect for my meeting needs. I have not had any issues whatsoever with the audio as well. The little privacy cover that comes with it is very nice.
