I like the fact that you’re able to control all of the cameras functionality via your cell phone through the app or through iPad. The best part about it is the four thirds lens mount. Allowing to pic which ever lens you want and use it with the camera as long as it’s compatible with it. Not only that the camera is wireless!! I already used Mevo Starts and Mevo Multicam to stream baseball games. I couldn’t wait to find a zoom option from centerfield - over the pitcher’s shoulder. Tried my iPhone but it didn’t zoom in far enough. I was excited when the Core finally came (although I still cringe a little at the cost). Paired with a decent lens, it has exceeded my hopes: doesn’t overheat in the sun, WiFi reaches my router, battery lasts for hours, focus is simple and good enough, and it has survived a couple tripod tip-overs. For this streaming purpose (it’s all I use it for) I would recommend it, despite the cost. Capturing this additional angle makes watching and rewatching the games so much more enjoyable for everyone. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I think podcasters (one camera that can give you “multiple angles”) and people wanting to live stream outside of their usual space from time to time will find a lot of value in this. It also doesn’t do a bad job at all simply being a camera. I’ve shot one nice b-roll with it. Lastly it offers a professional polish & quality to your zoom calls if that is something you value, especially paired with a great fixed focal wide lens like a 14mm. The Mevo Core cameras are absolute garbage. Horrible autofocus seeking. The app crashes and doesn’t respond. The claimed NDI support requires additional in app purchase and doesn’t work well. They may work when USB tethered or when used over the network. The wireless connection is buggy, drops for no reason and has horrible latency. On my gigabit network with a 1 gig up/down and 9ms ping, the app says my network is too slow to stream more than 480p. PLEASE save your money. ... show more
