Absolute junk. I've purchased over a dozen motors from Amazon. From a few different sellers. But recently those sellers have been out of products (tends to happen with good stuff) or they've raised their prices significantly. But I bought 2 of these AFRANTI paperweights. One I bought end of October. It ran. It worked but wouldn't go over 14mph out of the box. I broke it in. I use a bike with a motor as a daily driver for years. So I figured it will get better after awhile. I checked seals I checked for air leaks I switched carbs I used better spark plug. After I broke it in it would go max 25mph. Steady pull up a hill at 10mph. It was working. Poorly but it was working. So about 2 weeks in riding 15 miles each way to work on trying to improve it I noticed the bevel gear on the drive shaft. It was grinding itself down. So I relubricated it with HD gear lube. And as is my habit I went to buy a backup motor. I bought another AFRANTI. It's the cheapest due to no shipping charge and the fastest as it is supplied by Amazon. So I got another one. By the time it arrived the first one had dissolved the bevel gear. Upon inspection the gear wasn't even hardened steel. Whatever. I pulled it off and put on the spare I just got. I warmed it up shut it down cooled it off for a few cycles. Normal break in process. After doing this about 3 or 4 times I got on the bike to get a bout a 15 min ride in. I started pedaling to get moving (as you should during break in) I gave it some gas and let off the clutch and the engine revved but didn't give me any power. When I got home and checked it the crank shaft was broken. Wouldn't turn the drive sprocket. Didn't even get 1 ride out of it. As I was looking in bike builder forums I visit I posted about it. And OMG people started talking about the junk they had gotten all from AFRANTI not one single experienced builder had anything good to say about it. A couple new builders said they had same exact issues and even tho some were running they to couldn't get past 27 mph. Even with 36 tooth sprocket. Upon discussions and inspections it was noticed that that the crankshaft weights. The round wheels on the inside of the motors were about 20 percent smaller. Less width and lighter material. This makes the compression much lower and also allows the rod to move on the bearings. So that's the issue with no power. And the more professional builders noted that the parts were of lower quality materials. Parts that should have been hardened steel(like my bevel gear) weren't. Like the crankshaft. These motors are made to break. They have cheap junk components and the seller supplies them in bulk to Amazon direct so that they can ship them fast and cheap. There stand is if it breaks they will buy a new one and we will make more money. DO NOT BUY don't encourage poor business tactics. Demand quality goods. You make a hundred things and 90 fail then something needs to change. And look at the pictures on the ad. There are 3 or 4 of these same motors from the same sellers but different company names. They all use the same stock photos. They are all the same motors. Wish CDHPower was still here at least those had solid components and it only died if you messed up the build. But after the LD100 failure they have disappeared off Amazon. Too bad ... show more

I like the creaftmanship of this product. It iis made up of precision parts that are made with quality alloy metals and precision machining. It is self evident that the manufacturer is conscientious and produces a good product with a good pricetag. I respect that and don't regret a penny I've spent so far on my custom motorized bicycle,...aka... "motorcycle" that I'm able to create, using the 100CC power kit I purchased. I've been an equipment operator/mechanic in salvage/scrap yard operations for over 30 years. I know quality metal products when I see them, having worked with the best as well as all the rest over the years. I love creating unique, functional, and fun machines out of used, but useful parts. I am just about ready to launch this one in a couple more weekends. I deviated from the original instruction booklet like I usually do on this project which made it a little more involved, but the end product will be worth the effort. I removed the bicycle pedal crank and installed a pull start so I can custom fit a tube through the crank hole and weld foot platforms to it. I am also retrofitting a disk brake system on her made up of other high end bicycle parts. All this started with a 1978 Ross Bicycle Frame crafted from real deal American Steel that I find to be the best to use for custom welding fabrication. Something about the older steel alloys make for superior weld ability with high carbon upgrade components and stays strong with a high tensile strength. I purchased this motor for my beach cruiser bike however I haven't been able to actually ride the bike because the motor has absolutely no power. I Googled possibility of what was wrong went over it and nothing. It starts right up but it shakes even while peddling. It's junk I do not recommend anyone to purchase it. ... show more

I am a first time builder, so I went cheap in case I did something wrong and ruined a motor and had to eat the money I spent on it. That being said I made plenty of mistakes and learned along the way. I had to do a lot of research on installation because the directions seem to have been poorly translated (or poorly written in English) and the photos in the booklet were not very much help. But despite all that and having to do trial and errors, this little motor has held up against everything I’ve put it through. Recently just re-jetted the stock carburetor it came with to a smaller jet (was running really rich) and it runs even better than before. Despite logging 350ish miles running rich and vibrating extra heavy from the bogging, this little motor held up great. I followed all the daily maintenance guides in the booklet and have not had any problems since. With the stock carb jetted correctly with a fuel ratio of 32:1, full throttle on a level plain I am achieving 20-22 mph (I weigh 190lbs and the bike before motor kit is roughly 60lbs). I have installed a larger capacity fuel tank as I do ride to/from work and appointments and a wheel hub adapter as to not damage the spokes and a quieter exhaust (does take away power but I wanted quiet). I would recommend this little motor kit to anyone who does not mind doing research to install it if this is your first time. Very durable and dependable for the price. ... show more

For the trouble it is to tune any 100 compared to any 80, it's not worth it,I can get much more from an 80 than any 100,so get the 80cc

Usually when I buy an 80 CC engine. It lasts a while and sometimes it'll be little tiny things to add-on and fixed. But thethis yd 100 just shut off on me while I was riding. After so much work to get it working. And it just stopped working and I'm kinda over it at this point. I tried everything from changing the c. D. I. The spark plug and a Magneto and it just won't turn over no more. And it's annoying it's no way a brand new motor out the box only last 2 weeks of work horsing ... show more
