The Wardrobe/Armoire/Closet is exactly what I needed and looks great. It arrived in 2 boxes with easy instructions.I put it together myself with minimal assistance from my spouse in a afternoon. It would be a less than 2 hour job for 2 guys. The closet is does not have the same quality finish inside as on the outside. Inside it is just stained dark with no smooth sheen or finish. So all of the pieces have a good side and an "unfinished" side which is the inside. Everything is solid wood. I purchased the additional shelf too that is adjustable.Great looking ... show more

Love that I finally have additional closet space in my tiny apartment. It is beautiful and exactly as described. One drawback was that it smelled really really really strong of varnish or paint or whatever it was. Had to put the pieces out on my balcony for a week and then bring it in for a week and then we assembled it yesterday and it still very lightly smells. I have an air purifier that was working overtime to get rid of the VOC’s. If you get this prepare to air it out. ... show more

    • Very poor quality control with pathetic customer support

I bought 2 of these wardrobes. They are shipped completely disassembled. One was packed well and I had no problem putting it together. The second was packed very poorly and several pieces came damaged. I received these items faster than I thought I would, so I assembled them just before Christmas. When I discovered the problems with the second unit, I still finished assembling it because I couldn't leave the pieces strewn about my house when I was expecting a house full of guest for Christmas. I received replacement parts from the manufacturer, including the top piece (because it was cracked). Two of the replacement items I could easily replace with the new items. But that's not possible to do with the top piece. I already told them that I assembled the unit for the reasons I explained here and I actually expected them to give me a credit of some kind for the damaged unit and the headache of dealing with their poor QC. I'm not going to disassemble the unit to replace the top piece. I have very little confidence that the unit can be disassembled without damaging some of the pieces and reassembling it would be problematic. Bottom line: save your money and don't buy this product. ... show more

Several stain inconsistencies on the sliding doors and exterior sides are visible as dull and rough rather than smooth but looks OK in indirect light. Instructions are picture only with many intermediate steps within the 9 main steps that aren't always intuitive. It helps to have a power drill to make or slightly enlarged pilot holes in order to facilitate putting the closet together. Helps to have two people to hold the ends and sides together but not impossible for one person alone. ... show more

If I could give this product 10 stars I would. Easy to put together and even had extra screws. lol It looks great and holds a lot of clothes. Madewell. Not cheap looking neither. I'm real happy I purchased this.
