I got this shade in black and it does good with keeping the light blocked. It was easy to install and came with all the parts we needed. We used a power drill which made it go quicker. The nylon material is study and easy to clean. Directions should were easy to follow.

So these really came in clutch because I have 56-in wide windows in my house. They truly give a lot of shade and they seem pretty durable. The fit was perfect but just be sure to measure your window beforehand and give yourself an inch or two on each side so it covers the whole window I never did it inside of the window molding I just did it on the outside so it may be a little bit of a different process if you do it inside the molding ... show more

    • Perfect for installation within window frame
I ordered the 58 inch shade to fit within my large plantation shuttered window and it is just what I wanted. The actual shade itself comes to 57 inches, but it is just about 58 with the hardware, and fits perfectly within the window frame. The shade blocks the light for a nearly total dark effect, and I love the fact the shade has a roller so I can easily roll it up to make my room light, unlike other blackout shades I’ve had before. I found the installation process pretty quick and easy, it took about 30 mins working with the help of another person.
