As you can see we've paired this with a cloth valance behind a set of sheer curtains. We'll probably pull this blind more often during mornings when the sun hits that side of our building, and perhaps at night when we want added privacy (our kitchen window faces a walkway so folks occasionally walk past it.) These were incredibly easy to install. It took me about 10 minutes using a drill and power driver. And I like the attachment mechanism. There is a spring loaded "catch" that locks these into placed, but if you need to remove the blind a simple press on the top of the bracket releases the blind. And to replace just snap it back into place. The opening and closing functions are smooth, and the speed of closure is adjustable. There are no cords - the length of the blind is virtually infinitely adjustable. Just pull to desired length and release. Then pull down slightly and let go and the blind rolls up. Customer service was accommodating and sent a replacement for the missing(probably during transit) end cap on the shade! Instructions are not precise. Unexplained term: โ€œspirit levelโ€ on step 4. No recommendation for optimal bracket distance from end. The screw size ( on Right in photo) or drill bit recommendation per wood type left to guesswork. Unexplained items in kit per photograph: - pull cord, how to install - rectangular plastic bracket (L) what is it for, how to install if needed. - small folding plastic snap piece (Center) Overall quality seems very7 good ... show more

We installed these as an under cabinet mount. The hardware was great. The quality of the fabric was my concern. If you only use the handle or bar to pull shade up/down, you should be fine, but we noticed divits and dents in the side of the shade that wouldn't flatten.
