Ordered the 157" x 59" pack. 100% blocks the sun which is the primary purpose. Just started living full-time in my RV and needed a way to block as much sun/heat from coming in as possible and this does that without issue. I was expecting material - something I could use the hot iron tape to 'sew' the edges for a clean finish. This is more like a thin, plastic shower curtain liner - it is black on one side and silver on the other. Since it feels more like plastic than material, I was afraid to use an iron for the tape (just did my best to cut straight lines)....or for that matter, to get out the wrinkles. I installed it behind the window treatments around the edge of the windows and behind the blind so the only edge that shows is the bottom edge. The adhesive pads are excellent! Very sticky! For a couple of the larger windows, I placed the pads in the center between the corners. Placing another order as still have a couple more windows to cover so will have enough Velcro pads. It would be cool if they could lightly print guidelines on the silver side of the 'material' to use when cutting - like some makers of Christmas wrapping paper. ... show more

We got these to help my daughter not wake up at 5 am from the sun. I like the fact that they go up and come down so easily that way her room doesn't have to be dark all the time. The material is a little thin but block out light well. I just wonder how long it will take before it rips if you're constantly taking it up and down. I really appreciated how there is a storage bag, a tape measure, and 2 different ways to hang it up. I have only had it up for a little while so I'll give it time and update the review. This was a great way to make our nursery blackout while still being able to take it down for natural light during the day. Took off a star because the circle velcro has come off a few times on the window side. Not a big deal we just have to stick it back on occasionally. You definitely need to be a little crafty to cut it yourself. We cut ours just slightly bigger than the window to really prevent light. ... show more

Definitely blacks out the sun 100%. Easy to cut with a decent pair of scissors. I wish there was some kind of warning about the damage the velcro stickies would do to the wall. I would highly recommend putting something between the wall and the velcro stickies so it doesn't do any damage. I learned the hard way unfortunately. ... show more

I bought the biggest piece available as I have many different size of windows I am working with. The only thing I would have liked more would be a grid printed to keep my cuts straight. Example: some Christmas wrap has it.

This blackout is exactly what I was looking for darking out my camper windows. Was not hard I just measured the windows and cut thr material to fit, and then velocrow it on. I will tell you to purchase a different velcro because they don't provide you with a lot not even enough to do one window and it's not very adhesive.
