My closet is not very big. I had a shoe rack that was lower height and slanted shelves. My shoes kept on sliding off the rack and I could not stack the shoes. This rack had pretty good rating so I purchased it. At first, I was overwhelmed with the amount of pieces. Once again, no directions other than blurry photos. This really bothers me when companies do not put out detailed directions or at least a link to watch how to put it together. I did figure it out and once I figure it out, it was very easy to put together. There are quite a few pieces -150! But they are all pieces that quickly snap together. It took me about 40 minutes to put it together. I like the tarp type rack shelf because I could wash that off if it gets dirty from sneakers and the area is flat. You could easily stack flat, sandals, etc., on top of each other without them falling. It went into the narrow closet very easily. it does fit 50 pairs of shoes easily and may be more if you have flat shoes, etc. It’s not as sturdy as my last one, but it will do,because the style is so much better than the bulkier rack with slanted shelves ... show more

It would probably be best for people with smaller feet. I can only fit 3 pairs of shoes per tier and I had to remove some tiers to add taller boots. The plastic construction isn't very strong either, but for the price, I can't really complain much.
