These definitely get the job done. Vampire plugs in general are a phenomenal idea and give you so much freedom to design your light setup. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the prongs on these that pierce the wire cover sometimes bend if you're not careful when sliding the cover on. These allowed me to customize my Christmas lights for my house. I was able to add this mid strand to run another set of lights on a dormer. Make the lights looks great, like I had them custom made professionally. I did have an issue with installing. Why have extra cord left over to hide or have to plug two or more cords together to get 8’ when your cords are 6’ this item is so easy to create your own perfect link cords that could be 2’ or 200’ just buy these and their female counterpart. Also repair appliance cords that become cut or broken.
