  • Excellent compromise fir 4K gaming
I don’t think there’s a game available this card will not perform flawlessly, giving you at least 60 frames at 4K — with everything maxed out. Many titles do even better. At 2K frame rates are ridiculously high with everything maxed out. Noise levels. I truly don’t understand the complaints about noise. Under absolutely full load, it’s a muffled, distant, not irritating at all, white noise kind of sound. Unless you have your PC on your desktop at ear level, you’ll only notice the highest load fan sounds, but you’ll forget about it pretty quickly too. IMO it’s a non-issue. With headphones on, you won’t hear anything at all. Overall this is an excellent card for today’s crazy GPU prices… ... show more

  • 2023 Review - U R Truly 4k Ready with this Monster
If you want true 4k/8k power = push the "Add to Cart" button and "Get IT Over With". If you don't need 4k/8k power = then buy a RTX 3080 and listen to "The Victorious G.O.A.T." tell you about their 25% boost in gaming, streaming, and video editing experience. You're a gamer with intent to stream and enjoy the beautiful things in life... the video card should never be a bottleneck. >>> Pros <<< > The cost is hideous - but this card outperforms the 3090Ti (which I'm glad I didn't buy). Nvidia went from an 8nm to 4nm process - and the power efficiency is incredible. I don't see anything above 50 degrees C. Check the Internet/YouTube for more details on efficiency tweakin' and overclocking (I recommend MSI Afterburner for beginners). > 4k gaming is a dream with this monster - even if you are using a native1440p monitor. I have a 1440p monitor - rated at 165Hz - and I'm seeing above 200fps. My Time Spy score is limited by an Intel 12700KF processor (see photo). Remember: this thing is DLSS 3.0 where available. > Rendering scenes is absurd. I dropped a model into Keyshot 11 and reduced render times by 50%. For CAD/Blender users - you must consider the CPU match of your current rig... could lead to a processor bottleneck (single core performance). > I video edit with VEGAS Pro - which already benefits from RTX anything - but the 16GB of DDR6X mixed with DDR5 memory is a noticeable difference. I recommend faster than my 12700KF processor. > I'm ready for DLSS 3.0 with plenty of Tensor cores (304) and a proven raytracing platform > ZOTAC makes a gorgeous card this round = by far the best aesthetics of any 4000 series - and compatible with MSI Afterburner (good enough). >>> The Cons / Gripes <<< > Price is a gripe = the Mining market trashes the Gaming/Streamin' world and leaves the prices sky high and scalper friendly. The 4080 is a good balance for most platforms - but at a premium > The size is ridiculous - considering the efficiency of this processor. I got scared = and I own a full size ATX case (Thermaltake P6). See photo: but you need a comfortable 6.5 inches from the base/MB to the glass of your case - or consider a vertical mount. > I'd like to trade the pretty shipping box for a more flexible 16-pin cable. Umm... consider a flexible 16-pin cable for smaller cases? Overall: I am Very Satisfied with the initial performance of this beautiful GPU. I highly recommend this extreme purchase minus a healthy tax return. ... show more

  • It's a Gentle Giant
Ok, so it's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I am upgrading from an RTX 2080 and wow. This thing shreds. It is an absolute unit of a GPU so be prepared for it to take up 3 bays and the entire length of your tower. Also, not a fan of the new 12vhpwr standard power connection. So if you're new and buying this then please make sure to get at least an 850 watt PSU BUT ALSO BUY AN EXTRA PCIe (6+2) WIRE. The Power Supply's will usually only come with 2 PCIe wires but to run this monster you need 3. I will be buying a third but for now I am just daisy chaining one of the PCIe wires to 2 of the connections coming from the 12vhpwr adapter and using the second PCIe for the third. Just a heads up. The last thing I would like to point out is just how quiet this thing is. I have no idea what other reviewers are talking about because my GPU is STUPID QUIET. Like so quiet I would be worried the fans are not engaging if it were not for my GPU temp readings. I had to get an AIO for my 2080 because it was so loud but not for this guy. I'm thinking some of the other users may have accidentally dropped a plastic covering in the fan or something because I honestly can't hear a thing and I love it. ... show more

  • Big and bad Large tower is a must have
Very good performance when paired with a Ryzen 9 7900x and 64gb of ddr5 at 6000mhz. Only downside is is the size of the card and heat sync is massive and you can’t use it in small form factor towers unless you water cool the card 5/5 stars for me!

  • The price coming down made me more comfortable with the decision
I do like the overall design of the card and the performance is a nice upgrade ove the 3060ti I had in my old system, Nvidia decided to go wild with the prices this Gen but it is a solid card.

  • The crown jewel to your build.
The media could not be loaded. This video card is expensive. But nonetheless is fast as f@$%. The unit I received is extremely quiet and I don’t have the loud coil whine others have experienced. With that being said in my chassis which is a 4000D airflow with a decent amount of fans to help accommodate it for cooling, it hasn’t reached a max temp of above 65 degrees C. This card handles whatever I throw at it. And it being 150 dollars cheaper than most competing retailers, Amazon was the right choice. ... show more

  • Pricey but one of the best
The price is a bit steep but after my experience with AMD software I had to switch to NVIDIA just cause there's less bugs, I tried using a 7900XTX but the it was causing black screen on my pc, overall a good GPU, just a bit pricey.
