  • Fun but...
Style: Pedal
I'm a professional musician. I bought the Zoom V3 mainly to beef up my personal vocal and add some fun effects at times. I found a lot of limitations. The only signal out is a pair of 1/4 jacks. Harmonies are minimally controllable and often sound like the wrong interval even with the correct key selection. Some other effects just had little application to what I do. I found the 'unison', 'pitch correct chromatic' and 'deep' for a Bruno Mars tune to be very useful. It also has, seperate from the effects, independent reverb, delay, and compression that were adequate. My difficulty was the unit started turning itself off randomly after less than 20 hours use and only taking it to two gigs. I had to return it. If you choose to get it I think the extended warranty would be important. I got a refund but not in full ... show more

  • It has its limits, but well worth the price!
Style: Pedal
It has its limits, but well worth it's cost. Used it on stage about a dozen times now. While not having full control over the parameters of most effects, they've done a good job with the stock settings. The harmonizer works quite well, if you have good pitch (my guitar player couldn't make it sound good ...) Also the chorus and unison settings are useful. Formant button is cool. Ultimately though it's worth it for the compressor, reverb, and the "enhance" button (works kinda like a BBE sonic maximizer). I'm happy with it, but if you have the $700 get the voice live touch 2 ... show more

  • Not GIG ready
Style: Pedal
Device lasted 4 weeks in a studio environment before dying. Not GIG worthy. Easy to use and tone quality top notch but again not gig ready fragile.

  • FIX ACTION FOUND= First thing to do is DOWNLOAD updated FIRMWARE. Pls read my entire review!!!
Style: Pedal
Hey all, I found a fix for the weird behaviors and shut down.......Make sure the first thing you do is download the update firmware. It cure my problem, mentioned in an earlier post....I am leaving this a one star to allow others to see this very important update......DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE FIRMWARE,..this will correct the problems we all have been experiencing. I dont know why the makers dont have FORMWARE update advisory posted---- First post below--- ---The warnings could not have been any less heralded by my fellow purchasers, giving it the lowest rating on the scale. I absolutely love the “ZOOM” brand. I am a proud owner of 4 of their incredible recorders, going just over 7 years old fully functional to date. This had driven me to totally disregard the lower rating comments. That said, two days into enjoying my new ZOOM V3 it shut down hard!! but not before making me tare the headphones from my head to recover from a Mega Buzz delivered directly into each eardrum, in UHD, which made it very clear to me that it had been, in the least, very lovingly constructed, by ZOOM, with the ability to express emotion by screaming the way it had just prior to DYING A PAINFUL DEATH!!! I hate the process of trying to return something and expect them to keep up their part of the bargain. They already have youtubers making this product dubbing it with great things just shy of saying it was better than sex on a stick, (don’t ask,…I’m still delirious from ear hemorrhaging)!! So, I will NOT be returning it and just count it as an expensive lesson learned. I was really hoping this was another smart purchase from ZOOM, as was their recorders. ... show more

  • If you can’t sing, and want to sing, get it!!!! Just follow these guidelines.
Style: Pedal
The media could not be loaded. It’s a bit complicated if you don’t know music theory, but I got you. First, do not rely in pitch correction chromatic unless you are singing acapella. If you sign with a backing track, ZOOMV3 (ZV3) will get confuse and will autotune the whole song. Instead what you want to do is find the original song key in muicstax.com on the search bar. I can only speak for famous songs. Then dial the key on the key circle in ZV3, if the song is in major KEY use big letter I.e. key of A-major. If the song is in minor key look for it underneath the big letters in the dial, and it will have a little m I.e. Dm (D minor). If the song is in a #major key refer to the blank spaces. You can also use YouTube for music theory. Once you have that, turn on Pitch Correct Key, and click on enhance to give your voice more presence. Remember, the higher you have effect adjust, the more robotic you will sound. So find the right range by dial it down from 100 until you find your tone. You might find that you may not be too far from the key. I hope this helps. ... show more
