If you have squeaks, give your slats some booties! I like this frame but it started squeaking off and on about a month after we assembled it. It was very noticeable on hot days followed by cool nights, so I think the wood expands and contracts and rubs against the metal frame. Anyhow, I discovered this solution online - you can use socks (I had enough tired old ones but you could also splurge at the dollar store) to cover the ends of the wood so they do not rub against the frame. You can either remove the mattress to do this or lie on the floor and pull the slats out one by one. We have had zero squeaks since we did this a month ago. Hope this helps 😀 ... show more

We have a similar frame for a twin bed, but it has metal bars for the Mattress platform. I much prefer the wood, bamboo plywood slats that sit in steel pockets. Rock solid and confidence inspiring. Frame goes together easily, with clear markings on each piece, and step-by-step instructions. The free tools provided are worth every penny. Ratchet screwdriver with bits or screw gun will speed things up by 50%. Would repeat without hesitation. ... show more

This frame is easy to assemble and comes with easy to follow directions. It has a low profile that looks nice in a smaller room, too. My only complaint is that I wish it had some sort of side rails to hold the mattress in place. Because the mattress sits directly on the slats which are flush with the frame, the mattress slides around a bit. But for the money? Not a game changer! ... show more

I’ve put together a few slat beds and this was by far the easiest. I don’t overly love that the slats just rest on the frame, but we will see how they hold up with time. I do love that it’s metal that the wooden pieces sit on rather than plastic pieces like previous beds I’ve assembled did. Loving the added height by choosing the 18 inch frame. ... show more

I wanted a sturdy frame with room for storing boxes underneath and this really is working out great. I think you need to be a little careful about moving it around once the bed is installed. Nothing came apart, but it had a little wiggle which is not surprising.

Came to my house packaged well. Everything was in the box & everything fit, no defects or broken parts (small issue w/ the included wrench). However, this took way longer then I thought to put together. Definitely a 2 person operation. I wouldn't have been able to do it with my daughters help. I would have been better off if someone told me "Yeah, toss the instructions off to the side. Just use common sense and you'll get it. The instructions are confusing." I kept grabbing a piece to bolt on to another piece after looking at the picture, but then having to refer right back to the picture - which I did endlessly because it's not crystal clear and I wanted to make sure I was doing it the right way. Once I tossed the instructions off to the side it went together smoothly. The included wrench kind of held the nuts in place but once I started to crank down on the alllen wrench, the nuts spun within the regular wrench. So I had to get a pair of pliers to firmly lock down on the nut while I cranked the other end with the allen wrench. BTW the wrench included works but it's so tiny & hard to get any leverage. I used my own allen wrench's that have a thick, big handle on it which made it 10x easier. Tonight will be the first night my daughter sleeps on it. She's laying on her bed right now watching TV and just going off of that, there are no issues. I'll update this if anything fails. Overall, I recommend this product. The pics aren't how I would have taken the shots. I forgot to do it but my daughter captured the two pics that I included. Not sure how helpful they are. Almost forgot the main reason why I chose this model; I wanted her to have a bed where the mattress does not recess at all. I wanted this kind where the corners of the mattress are flush with the edges of the frame. I could slide the mattress right off if I had to without having to lift it up first to get it out of the recess. BTW - the mattress is brand new too which is an Olee Sleep Galaxy Hybrid 13 (full size). *** UPDATE *** So one week of my daughter having it and the frame is solid as a rock. The under bed storage is very helpful (the reason I got the 18" version). The combo of this frame along with the Olee Galaxy 13 hybrid mattress is amazing. I've been laying in there with her to watch some movies and the frame is rock solid. I'm so glad I went with this version (wood slats and the mattress goes right even with all the corners so no banged shins). ... show more

I bought this for a latex bed; although I saw the slats were nearly 4” apart, I was assured by other buyers I could just add more. Nope. The slats are set into pre-made slots, and can’t be shifted, even of they could, there is nothing to hold other boards in place, no “shelf” to set them on. I had to buy a peg board to make up for the wide slots. Had already had additional slats cut, $80.00 down the drain. If you need this for a latex bed, I would look for one you can space the slats more like 2” apart, which is what the manufacturer requires for the warranty, not the seller. Good for other kinds of beds, well made, just the slat problem. ... show more
