Description

The ZIWI Difference: We believe a holistic pet food starts with only the best natural ingredients. Rooted in New Zealand culture, our farmers and fisherman believe wholeheartedly in their role as kaitiaki; or being guardians of the land and sea. Ethical and sustainable isn’t just a standard—it’s our way of life. Perfect for carnivores, our PeakPrey recipes are rich in meat and organs in authentic ratios, free from unnecessary carbohydrates. Proudly made by passionate Kiwis, nothing delights us more than crafting recipes that bring joy and peace of mind to pets and their guardians. BEEF RECIPE: A clean and simple moisture rich recipe, featuring world-class New Zealand grass-fed and free-range beef. Serve as a topper or complete meal. Your dog or puppy is sure to enjoy each and every bite. FAQs Can ZIWI Peak be fed as a topper or mixed with another food? There’s no wrong way to feed ZIWI, it works great as a complete meal or as a topper for a nutritional boost on your existing food. Why is there sometimes variability in my ZIWI Peak food? ZIWI Peak uses natural ingredients, handcrafted in small batches, featuring high inclusions of meat and organs and excludes artificial fillers, dyes and preservatives. This, in combination other natural factors such as age and seasonality of the ingredients we use, often results in variability of shape, size, color, texture and odor. This variation is perfectly normal and is an indicator as to how natural the food really is! How do I transition my dog to Ziwi? ZIWI Peak is nutrient dense. A little goes a long way, don’t be surprised if you feed less! Introduce a new recipe slowly over 6-8 days, gradually increasing the amount of the new recipe while decreasing the old, until you are fully transitioned. Please refer to our transition guide on the packaging. Can I rotate my dog through different Ziwi recipes? We recommend a gradual transition between proteins, to minimize the potential for digestive upset. Please refer to our transition guide on the packaging.

  • My dogs LOVE this food.
Flavor Name: Beef Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 12)
I ordered the beef . It’s pricey, but I was feeling like my dogs were lacking something in their diet. I have to be really careful what I feed my shar-peis because they are so allergic to a lot of different foods. They are doing great on this one! I noticed less plaque on their teeth and I brush them 5x a week. Coats are shining like glass . And they can not wait to eat this stuff. Because it is expensive, I use as a topper to their food or once a week they get a full meal from it . ... show more

  • 5 Dogs & 3 Cats LOVE Ziwi Peak foods !!
Flavor Name: Beef Size: 13.75 Ounce (Pack of 12)
We have a full house of 4 legged kids, 5 Dogs & 3 Cats who all happen to be such darn picky eaters. I have spent literally hundreds of dollars trying to find both dry & wet dog and cat foods that are good for them and that all of them would like and continue to eat after a few days. Like others, i started making their food but it became too time-consuming, expensive, and down right messy. So while extensively researching pet food companies that #1- have a great reputation and #2- only use wholesome ingredients that the animals need and none that they don't, I came across Ziwi Peak. When I couldnt find anything negative about this company I ordered a case of wet dog food, a case of wet cat food, a bag of air-dried dog food, and a bag of air-dried cat food. Cross my heart, every single one of our kids absolutely LOVES this food, they even behave as if they are getting a treat when I give them the air-dried food instead of a meal they have to eat. Its now been several cases & bags and they are all still excited to eat. Yes its more expensive than most other foods but when you compare the ingredients, this is a no-brainer !!! Thanks Ziwi Peak for making such amazing wholesome foods that will keep our kids healthy. ... show more

  • Great quality, but seem to cause a bit of digestive issues
Flavor Name: Lamb Size: 13.75 Ounce (Pack of 12)
I primarily home-cook for my dogs, but every now and then I run a little short on time. I like to keep some super high quality canned food on hand for those situations. This stuff is great quality- I like how it is made, I like the company... but I probably will not buy it again for two reasons; 1.) It has a very strong fishy odor to it. I did not expect this with a lamb food, but there is a lot of fish in it and it makes my Cavaliers' sweet little faces smell awful. 2.) This food seems to give my dogs diarrhea. My dogs eat lots of different kinds of food. I home cook with fresh meat (venison, fish, beef, chicken, turkey... you name it) and fresh veggies. They get a variety of foods and do also occasionally get other canned food (Weruva is a favorite here). Whenever I give them ZiwiPeak they always seem to get diarrhea. Good quality food and I do really like it, but I suggest trying one can at a time before buying in bulk. I have a bunch of this stuff now and I don't want to give my dogs diarrhea by feeding it to them. Oh well. Guess the shelter dogs are going to have some super premium food for a while. ... show more

  • Would give 5 stars but the Tripe and Lamb recipe is awful. Mackerel and Lamb Recipe is great
Flavor Name: Tripe & Lamb Size: 13.75 Ounce (Pack of 12)
I have been using Ziwi Mackerel and Lamb recipe (dried and canned) for about a year now and my pets LOVE it. I decided to switch it up and try the Mackerel and Lamb recipe and UGH. It literally smelled like feces. My cat (that I think was a goat in his last life and eats everything) won't touch this. I don't know if I got a bad shipment or if it's the mackerel recipe. To be safe, I won't make the $70 mistake again of ordering the case of Mackerel and Lamb. I am very pleased with Ziwi overall, except for this one instance. ... show more
