Battery lasted 3 years (really good for a powersport battery). I'm sure it would have lasted longer had I taken better care to keep it charged. I just bought my 2nd one.

Best battery I have ever owned had it on my 1995 Yamaha yzf600r thundercat I would leave the bike in the shed all winter with battery in it and with the bike having 4 carbs I had to tune it every spring and this battery never lost its charge after sitting all winter I would spend a half hour cranking and running the carbs until it started and the battery never lost juice I had it for about 2 years and when I sold it the battery still cranked like new!! ... show more

I was prompted to write this meaningless review. It's a motorcycle battery and as with all auto batteries, it starts out working fine. Whether or not it was worth the price or not, give me a couple years... I've just had it a week. Edit: Six months later, it's doing fine. I suspect it will give me the two years I expect from it so... now I don't feel bad about giving it five stars. :-) Edit2: Two years four months later, still working fine. So, although I expect more than 2 or 3 years from a battery, this one, for the price I paid, has been good so far. And I'm betting I'll get another year or two. Looking at a few other reviews, it seems quality control might have gone downhill. Or maybe I just got lucky. But I'd still buy another when the time comes. Edit3: Five years and it's time to replace. I haven't ridden enough the last year or so so it's gone dead which is hard on a battery. Possibly if I was still riding regularly it would still be okay. ... show more

Is it really a good value if it doesn't actually fit what it's supposed to? It was inexpensive. Maybe I found out why. Why on earth this battery case has extra plastic beside the terminals is beyond me. If your cables terminate with anything other than oh, I dunno, just a flat end, you may be in trouble. Not only are there meaningless tiny plastic posts (like <1mm dia) sticking up and keeping the cable terminals from contacting the battery terminals, there isn't enough height difference between the battery terminal and its internal connection to the battery to allow the cable terminal to wrap over that side. I needed a battery in a big hurry because I have to depend on my bike for transportation next week and just my luck the old battery chose this time to die. Thanks to Amazon for the usual speedy delivery, but dang, this is a poor product. I'm sure it works great for some applications, but if your cable terminals have any 'overhang' elements, buy something other than this. I made it work (don't ask how) because I absolutely have to get to work tomorrow. Anyway, it's installed and hopefully will last a long time because I don't feel like messing with it or thinking about it ever again. Three cheers for a battery maintainer. ... show more
