  • This sturdy frame will support your mattress, period!
Size: Queen
This frame is solid! The hardware and welds appear strong! I bought this for my 6'4", 260lb son. I've had it up for about a week, and so far so good. The frame not only supports his weight, but another 70lbs of a Savile Row plush mattress (which is also excellent in quality)! I was a little skeptical before ordering, due what another reviewer said about slats cracking. I don't believe that they're made of hardwood, but as long as you aren't using the bed as a wrestling ring, I think they'll last. They are 3¼ inch (long/wide, depending on how you look at it) and ½ inch thick. They have some flex, but probably won't break the way that the weight is over all distributed. I've seen some sites say that the slats should be no more than 2-3 inches apart, and some others 3-4. These slats are placed 4 inches apart, and I will attest that they seem to be supporting the mattress without issue. Plus, I figure I can always get more slats made if it comes to that, but I don't think that it will. If worse comes to worst, you can always put a bunkie board between the frame and the mattress, but, like I said, it seems to be supporting the mattress just fine. The only small criticism that I have is that the actual nuts and bolts could be better labeled, so that they correspond with the diagram on the instructions. I feel that they need to be lettered like the parts of the actual frame. I had to study the bolts and diagram a few minutes to ensure I was putting the long and short bolts where they needed to be. Moreover, the foam coverings on the legs simply don't fit in my opinion. I could only get them to fit on the center support legs. It would have been nice to have foam that slides on the legs without tearing up, but, I'll try not to stub my toes. Overall, I recommend this frame. If anything changes, I will revise my feedback. It's easy to put together, super sturdy, quiet as a mouse, and is thus far a great value! You do not need box springs with this mattress; indeed, the bed would be way too high for most. At fourteen inches high, plus your mattress height, that's plenty of height. 11¾ inch storage containers will clear the frame. I've bought some totally metal frames that failed. This one, even with the wooden slats, seems like it's going to last forever. ... show more

  • Full size frame matches full size bed
The frame is easy to assemble, just not with the instructions that came with the item. The black metal seems powder coated, so not shiny, and I didn’t notice any scratches after the way we handled it. ;-) The full-size mattress fit perfectly over the frame with no gaps. We fell into the bed with no squeaks, no rattling, no shaking. ... show more

  • Sturdy.
Very sturdy and doesn't squeak. I'm 75 and assembled it myself. Second purchase of this type of frame in 2 sizes.

  • Great, sturdy, easy assembly
All around pretty decent, super easy to assemble compared to other similar products, can support a lot of weight however- if you are a heavier set person and using this with a softer foam mattress the slats are like closer to 5” apart, my partner at 130 has had chronic back issues before this bed and feels great now that we have it, I am 180lb and I have back pain from sinking in too much between the slats w memory foam. This is not a deal breaker, a $20 trip to Lowe’s to place a slat of plywood under my side of the bed fixes that concern for me but as someone who has had a hiatal hernia after a foam mattress to slat bed frame purchase (not this one thank God) I can tell you it’s really important to listen to your body on this and understand the heavier you are the more you will sink in between the slats and your partner will have a varying experience, so be mindful. So if you are heavierset and using a plush foam mattress be ready to also go get some plywood to flatten it out. I also put a waterproof anti allergen antimold cover on the mattress because why wouldn’t you? Storage under is amazing. I would recommend this frame it’s great but yeah slats are a bit further apart than I like, partner however she’s never been better with her back pain.. ... show more

  • Great frame, no squeaks, and sturdy!
I am disabled and my daughter, elderly mother, and I were able to assemble this frame. It took about two hours because at first I thought some of the screws were missing, and the instructions are a bit confusing, but I’m pretty handy so I figured it out. The screws aren’t listed by type, ? but when you insert them, you can figure out which one goes where, plus one set has bolts and it’s easy to tell where those belong. It hurt my finger using the island keys, having a drill with the attachment would have helped, but we assembled it, and I can’t really complain. Good value for a fraction of the price of other brands. I did buy some pool noodles, based on another review of the item, because they give you two small bumpers they fit the middle of the bars, no one stubs their toe on the side of the bed, it’s at the ends that need padding. I just cut one up, and wrapped them around the bed, and when I hit my toe this morning, it was like hitting a foam pillow, lol. Wood slabs are firm, not cheap wood like a daybed that we purchased. ... show more

  • Good bed frame
Size: Queen
Easy for one person to assemble, doesn’t squeak after a month of sleeping on it, looks good, all parts in the box, good instructions. I’m thinking of buying one for my guest room.
