  • Excellent bed frame, well worth the money!
Color: Black Size: Queen Style: Tool-free Assembly
Purchased this frame with headboard in 2018, 6 years later and still going strong. No squeaks, very sturdy for bedroom activities (lol), easy to assemble, and lots of useful storage space underneath. I just recently moved and took the frame with me, super easy to break down and transport, and was just as easy to reassemble as the day I bought it. This frame is well worth the price, they could double the price and I'd still buy another one. ... show more

  • Super easy set up and looks nice too
Color: White Size: Twin Style: Tool-free Assembly
There is no assembly, just pull the legs out on either end and slip the middle grippers downward. The mattress fits well on the frame, which feels pretty sturdy and certainly worth the price. I was worried that a 14" frame would be too low, but it's not low at all considering the heigh of my pillow top mattress. The middle legs are connected with a cross bar so there is little worry that those legs would bow, which I've seen comments about with some other frames. So far there isn't any creaking, but this bed frame will be used every day so time will tell if that changes. I am pretty happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • A must-have bedroom essential!
Color: Black Size: Full Style: Tool-free Assembly
This is the first time I got this 14" full sized bed platform for my new full sized mattress because I wanted one without needing to purchase a box spring. I can say that after a couple days I am very pleased and satisfied with what I got. This bed platform was very easy to set up. I did it all by myself with no help. No wasting time trying to put the legs and slats together because this comes in practically two pieces. All I had to do was to follow the instructions and put the screws in for the legs and join the two metal platforms together. It is very stable on my carpet floor and is very sturdy now that I have my mattress and comforter on top. I'm only 5'0" and about 120 lbs so I don't see this platform possibly bending or collapsing from my regular use. Even if I use the bed with a heavier person on there I think it is still very stable. I have not heard any squeaking as I was rolling around and moving on my bed. I also like that they included some nonslip adhesive strips as it helped keep my bed skirt in place while I placed my new mattress on top. I didn't get a headboard so I'm not sure how easy it is to install any headboard outside of the brand. I am currently renting a room in a house and storage space has been pretty limited to me. I was able to fit a lot of things underneath the smartbase, including my shoes, styrofoam cooler, some clothes, bags, and clean containers and food jars. Pretty much any storage container under 13" in height can fit underneath the base. The diagonal bars that hold the legs in place and legs in the middle of the base are in the way, so if you have any wide and tall storage containers then you have to be a little careful. If you need to fit standard storage containers, I would recommend getting the taller smartbase such as the 16" or 18". For someone of my height with a 14" base plus 8” mattress and a 2" mattress topper, I did not have trouble getting on and off of my bed. My feet dangle about 2-3" off the ground now. I could imagine that any smartbase greater than 14" would give my bed a lot of height. Overall I am very happy that I got this base. You can probably tell that the black cat in one of my pictures is very pleased, too. I would argue that even if you don't need much bed storage space, this is a great bedroom essential to have because it is easy for one person to put together, dismantle, and move and you can easily add height to your bed without sacrificing its stability and sturdiness. And with a good bed skirt and comforter, you'll forget that you even have a metal bed platform! ... show more

  • Awesome storage for apartment living!
Color: Black Size: Full Style: Tool-free Assembly
*disclaimer* I live in an apartment, if you do too, you've found the right review! Lemme start by saying, my S.O. and I had our mattress on the floor for the first 3 weeks of moving in to our new place. This meant our brand new sheets, comforter, and a few throw pillows, often frequented the floor; they all picked up dust, dirt, cat hair, etc., the usual day to day messes of life. Stepped on, slipped on, you name it, it probably happened. If you're in this boat, you know, it can be a little frustrating. I told myself I'd build a box spring, buy a nice bedframe with a headboard, do this right... That was 2.5 weeks after telling myself it would be worth it, looking in local shops for pre built box springs and seeing them for no less than $100, and almost $200 after delivery + taxes. Well, since I'm here I guess you can imagine how that went. With work, trying to make the apartment feel like home, constantly cleaning and trying to maintain a social life, and without really your own front yard to do the whole building thing, the idea just became a faint whisper. It was around this time I also noticed the closets were a bit cluttered too, but I just told myself, "this was apartment living" One night, I decided to come to amazon to see if they sell box springs. To my absolute distrust and hesitation, I clicked through some reviews of this platform bedframe. It seemed pretty promising, but some reviews had a couple issues with broken parts and said it felt uncomfortable. I decided to roll the Amazon dice and purchase the platform bedframe. 3 days rolled by and it came, shipped to my apartment and dropped off with a loud "thud" on the front door. The package was heavy and I guess the delivery guy was frustrated from my place being such a frequent stop for him with heavy packages. "Great..." I said, hoping no damage had occurred. The box was pretty beat up too. I opened it, assembled it (took about 5 minutes of finger tightening wing nuts btw) and plopped the mattress up on it. Thankfully it seemed to survive it's rough journey from the warehouse to my place, I noticed two things immediately: 1.) This was the answer to making the bedroom feel more like a home 2.) There is a ridiculous amount of storage underneath the bed that simply isn't allowed for in closets. I stuffed as many rarely-used items under the bed as I possibly could, which allowed me to straighten up the closets. I even made room to keep the box to the frame in there, just in case the S.O. didn't like it and we had to send it back. She came home and also instantly appreciated the look and feel of the bedroom. Needless to say, we did some investigation to see just how loud and sturdy the bedframe is. It's silent, and unmoving! ;) I threw the box out after 2 nights of sleeping on the bed, confident in my purchase and ready to guide other potential customers with a humongous review on why they should also take the plunge and try it. It seriously is the perfect bedframe for an apartment. You'll be glad you tried it! ... show more
