We purchased a new beautiful fabric headboard, footboard with siderails for our guest room. The original headboard came with only 3 crossbars to screw into the siderails. The original crossbars only had 1 center leg per original crossbar (total of only 3 legs). We then had to screw the crossbars into the sideboards and this was suppose to add stability to the bed design. We were then suppose to place the platform wooden slats on top of this flimsy 3 crossbar/3 leg original design. I did not feel that this original design that came with the furniture was stable. Plus, I didn't want to screw anything into the fabric sideboards. So --- I needed a frame replacement that could fit right into the headboard/sideboard/footboard set up without screwing into the furniture. It had to stand on its own and fit perfectly in the predefined space. It would need to allow a foundation base or platform slat system to install on top. This Zinus frame is AMAZING and PERFECT. It was the simplest to put together and I did it all by myself. It fit perfectly into the space and my platform wooden slat base system fits securely on top. With the mattress installed; the entire bed is now completely stable and could hold a lot of weight. There are 9 legs and this is what supplies the awesome stability. The frame did not budge when we rolled around on the mattress and now the bed set up feels safe, stable and secure. To say we are happy is understatement. This was a great buy. This is a good bed and I'm very satisfied. We have bought Zinius products for our guest room in the last few months- bed, box spring, and mattress. After seeing what we got for the price, I'm honestly thinking of getting their products for main bedrooms going forward. I thought the price meant it would be mediocre, but the assembly has been straightforward and possible with one person. This bed is quite simple to put together and you basically get three-in-one, as the size is adjustable. The packaging is good, yet the the box comes apart easily and the parts are easy to get out. The parts are labeled and those labels correspond with the instructions. They also include cute little notes that make you think you're dealing with a small-ish company. No clue if that's the case, but it is an effective ploy if not :-) We have had to sleep in the guest room due to some work being done on the house and the bed appears sturdy and we're happy with it. It's early days, but I would recommend this product- it stands out among a lot of flimsy models (read the reviews) at the same price point. ... show more

It took me maybe 25 minutes to put together. Very simple instructions. No screws or 1000 parts to sift through. Straight to the point. Very sturdy. Packaged well. Would highly recommend! We adjusted to a queen.

This is a great frame for the money. Sturdy and very easy to assemble. Great for a bed with access on both sides, but if your bed is pushed against a wall on one side it is kind of a pain to move since it has stationary legs, not on wheels. The one thing that sucks is the legs are too close to the outside and not recessed back as description states. Therefore plan on stubbing your toes on it - ALOT!! Yes not much clearance from frame to floor but wasn't looking for under bed storage. Tip: before installing legs put on floor protectors, so much easier then because the leg bottoms are hard plastic. A box spring support started coming loose on my king bed at the foot. Gluing and moving the screws holding the support slat to the side rail was not an option since the side rails are a composite material and not solid wood on what I thought was a better made bed. Looked at different options and decided on 9 support feet instead of 6 for a king bed, and this was my pick due to reviews. Very easy instructions with all pictures and letters of the parts and the parts are lettered as well. Follow the instructions exactly as far as top bottom left and right and things are no problem. I was lucky because the new support fit inside my old bed frame independently, head, foot boards and side rails after removing the old box spring supports. That took a little work, but being composite it was about a half hour job. I also picked this because it was slightly longer than the other frames, which is still shy the full length of the bed but adequate. Being 60 yoa I pictured the nightmare of the old steel bed frames, this is nothing like those. They were heavier gauge steel, but these are nice, and no tools needed to put it together.
