I bought this to replace a really tall mattress and box spring in my guest bedroom. I wanted a platform bed frame but keep my nice pillow-top mattress. It arrived undamaged (good packing materials). There were some scratches on the black paint, but nothing that was terrible. The directions were in picture form only, which did cause some confusion. I only had to disassemble 1 end piece before I figured out the sequence! I put it together without tightening to make sure I was on the right track. My husband arrived to help tighten the numerous bolts and washers. It may have taken 2 hour 3 hours to assemble, but we weren't in a hurry. Really nice and affordable platform bed frame. This product is great for one time setup BUT If you set up and disassembled when you had a guess coming over its a different story. The edge of the platform bar are plastic, this can cause deformity and need a super glue to keep it intact from falling of. this is a good product and i recommend it

This took about 1 hour to assemble and was not difficult. It’s true to the picture. Great quality. I’m comfortable laying down and feel it’s supportive for one person. I’m not sure two people would be comfortable. But for myself it was absolutely perfect

I bought two of these at the same time as starter beds and a new home. Surprisingly, they are very stable and strong. It’s been a year now and I must say they are holding steady. You’re looking for something to hold you over until you get what you want. This is a great buy.

    • Great BUT BEWARE FIBERGLASS MATTRESS OWNERS

I’d like to say that the quality, easy assembling are unbeatable factors for the price. I would highly advise anyone with an older mattress however to be very careful. This frame comes with sticky tapes so the mattress is secured to the frame, if you have an older mattress with zippers i would recommend putting a piece of plywood between frame and mattress OR adding an extra frame cover. What happened to me is that, my mattress was on the older side and SURPRISE SURPRISE it had fiberglass inside. So due to the age of the mattress (which had generally been serving me well still) the zippers were weak, so the sticky tape pulled at the cover and the zipper broke eventually. I caught on to it very quickly but upon inspection there was fiberglass under my bed and the sides. I’m giving it five stars because its not an issue with the frame but I think it’s important everyone is aware of the risks tiny details may present to your health! ... show more

I actually timed myself. Less then 15 minutes to put together. I will never buy a bed from ikea again. This bed is genius! I’ll follow up when I get the mattress on it and actually try it out. Sturdy

This is a nice sturdy simple bedframe. I thought it would be uncomfortable since I don't have a box spring, but the suppose is excellent and I can't feel the rods. Putting it together is a little confusing at first but it's worth it.
