I don't think I've ever left a review for anything before. This bed was pretty simple to put together. Does need two people just for holding parts while the other person screws it in. It's very sturdy , neat looking and practical. The bottom does NOT fit a twin xl but the top does . I'm only adding that in there just incase someone has a twin xl and was curious . I have a 12in twin on the top and it's perfect . Very happy with this bed. It's only been one night so I'll back back in a month for an update. ... show more

I read the reviews before purchasing and decided to take the plunge. I am a 68 yo female and was able to put this together by myself. Great video and instructions. Very intuitive. It seems very stable and well made. I'm awaiting for my mattress' to be delivered and it will be complete. I rarely write reviews but felt it necessary as this purchase was well worth the money. Buy it, you won't be sorry. Oh, and the little ratchet that came with the bed ... kudos! So much better than those allen keys they usually come with.     • HEAVY BOX with all pieces still inside

Open the box and take the pieces out if you want an easier way to get the pieces into the room where you want to assemble the bed frame. The bed seems like it will be very sturdy. It's day two so I can't be certain how well all the joints will stay together yet. The oily machinery smell made me sneeze & it was a little bit overwhelming. The odor was so strong I used an odor remover and a cleaner on the bed frame after I assembled it. Putting the frames together was rather simple but it was confusing a few times because the numbers were not always put in the correct places. The number system they used on the pieces helped me put the frames together without help from anyone else in the family. I sat in the room and looked at the diagrams & numbers and slowly put the bed together. IF the frames do not wiggle after the bed & it's trundle are put to use that will be great. A star was taken off because of the oily machinery odor and because of the stickers being in the wrong places. If the company reads reviews about their products I would suggest they place a note on the exterior of the box or in some other appropriate area so the consumer is encouraged to open the box to take the pieces out once the box arrives. That box is heavy even when it's placed on a dolly. I cannot imagine how difficult it was be for a couple of people to try taking that box up a flight of stairs when it would be much safer to just open the box and take the pieces out to move everything. ... show more

I bought it as a sofa, hoping the backrest thing would be feasible. It's not, the bed is far too wide. But in terms of the product itself, it's quite solid. Screws sturdy and the holes they go into properly machined, no inexplicable stripping of threads, all the right sizes were present although no extras. After reading reviews on this product, I was worried about putting it together. I procrastinated for over a month and left it in the box. I just put it together this week, and it was wonderful! All of the parts are numbered, there's even a ratchet tool included to help with putting in the screws. The parts are bundled by which section they're in, which also makes it easier to sort things out. I put it together by myself in a couple of hours. The pictures show you which area you're working on, the numbers line up great. I bought it mostly for the price, but it's really solid metal, and it looks just like the picture, and is really sturdy. This daybed was bought to replace a crib in the room where our toddler grandson stays overnight when visiting. I needed something sturdy that would not topple or move. I also wanted something that was adult sized and allowed the room to be easily converted if it was needed for adult guests. This has been perfect! I have no fear of the toddler rolls off the top bed onto the bottom or off the bottom onto the carpet. It is plenty long and wide to sleep two adults, one on each bed. Not one bit of moving occurs.
