I read the reviews before purchasing and decided to take the plunge. I am a 68 yo female and was able to put this together by myself. Great video and instructions. Very intuitive. It seems very stable and well made. I'm awaiting for my mattress' to be delivered and it will be complete. I rarely write reviews but felt it necessary as this purchase was well worth the money. Buy it, you won't be sorry. Oh, and the little ratchet that came with the bed ... kudos! So much better than those allen keys they usually come with. I don't think I've ever left a review for anything before. This bed was pretty simple to put together. Does need two people just for holding parts while the other person screws it in. It's very sturdy , neat looking and practical. The bottom does NOT fit a twin xl but the top does . I'm only adding that in there just incase someone has a twin xl and was curious . I have a 12in twin on the top and it's perfect . Very happy with this bed. It's only been one night so I'll back back in a month for an update. ... show more

Given the relatively low price, I wasn't sure what to expect and have to reading some of the negative reviews. My expectations were not great. I was pleasantly surprised that everything was packaged nicely and neatly labeled with numbers to ease in assembly. Though I wouldn't call it a beefy bed. It's far from flimsy. The pieces went together very smoothly and given the excellent labeling, it was very easy to put together. I really appreciate that. The manufacturer even included a ratchet which made my life so much easier. For those that didn't like the instructions (I thought they were fine) They include a link to a video. That video shows in detail all the pieces being assembled. Not sure it could have been much simpler. The manufacturer even added extra bolts in case you would need them in the future though I don't really know what scenario that would be the case. To me it just shows that they care about the customer and are willing to go the extra mile. I was pleased with the end result. The only thing I would have wished is at the 90° angle at the end of the handrails was curved. I don't think I'll be bumping into them but somebody might and that would put a bruise on you. All in all, I'm very pleased and will be ordering a second one for my upstairs office. ... show more

This daybed was bought to replace a crib in the room where our toddler grandson stays overnight when visiting. I needed something sturdy that would not topple or move. I also wanted something that was adult sized and allowed the room to be easily converted if it was needed for adult guests. This has been perfect! I have no fear of the toddler rolls off the top bed onto the bottom or off the bottom onto the carpet. It is plenty long and wide to sleep two adults, one on each bed. Not one bit of moving occurs. After reading reviews on this product, I was worried about putting it together. I procrastinated for over a month and left it in the box. I just put it together this week, and it was wonderful! All of the parts are numbered, there's even a ratchet tool included to help with putting in the screws. The parts are bundled by which section they're in, which also makes it easier to sort things out. I put it together by myself in a couple of hours. The pictures show you which area you're working on, the numbers line up great. I bought it mostly for the price, but it's really solid metal, and it looks just like the picture, and is really sturdy. I really like this bed. My daughter and family from Arkansas visited me for Christmas and I had a place for everyone to sleep. I suppose one person could put it together but my sister and I put this together and it was pretty simple. We are in our 70’s and 80’s, so if we can do it, surely anyone can. The only problem I had was I should have purchased an 8 inch mattress For the bottom instead of a 10 inch it’s almost too big to slide under there. I ordered the suggested mattress also and it is comfortable. The bed is sturdy and very simple design. My husband and put it together easily, the instructions were easy to follow and all the pieces were there. I would recommend this trundle.
