Pattern Name: Pocket Knife
After lusting after the ZT 301 I finally decided on something a little cheaper and smaller to complement my current EDC knife, a Cold Steel AK-47, I will offer a few comparisons with that knife. This knife is so solidly built it is almost ridiculous. The locking mechanism leaves zero doubt that it will hold the blade in place no matter what, the handle is great, the G-10 scales offer excellent grip without being coarse, and the Speed Safe system is an absolute pleasure to use. I have played with opening the blade using the thumb stud and stopped after a couple awkward attempts, the nub on the back of knife is so easy to use I don't see a reason to bother with the thumb studs. If I were right handed the thumb studs might be a little more useful, as one stud is closer to the handle than the other due to the handle layout to allow for the liner lock. The blade is smooth and sharp, I think it will hold up quite well to everyday use, I've heard good things about the S30V steel. The pocket clip can be moved into 4 different positions, my cheap $4 Torx wrench stripped itself on the screw when I tried to move the clip today, but when I get another I plan on moving the clip to the left handed, blade down arrangement. This doesn't have a safety of any kind, but the Speed Safe doesn't seem like it could be flipped by accident very easily. Although nothing is out of the range of possibility. I don't want/need a safety so I don't consider this a negative. -------------------------------- Compared to the AK (another great knife, and a little cheaper for anyone not wanting to drop +$100). - The 350's blade is slightly smaller, and the handle is a LOT smaller. The overall opened length of the 350 seems almost to be 2/3s of the AK, although the 350 is heavier due to the more robust liner required for the locking mechanism. - The 350 can be opened and closed a little easier with one hand, I don't find that I can close the AK very easily one handed. Overall though, I think the strength and position of the lock on the AK is more desirable than the liner lock of the 350. Just my opinion. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. *What I love is the ergonomics of this knife! *The G-10 scales really are good for a solid grip that isn’t going to slip. *The blade came pretty sharp! And I love the overall design, and quality. *Both the thumb studs and the flipper tab are simple to deploy the blade! However, it has enough tension that it’s not flimsy, and won’t just let the blade fall out when closed. *It feels like a good solid knife! I’ve had a Spyderco PM3 before this knife and that one was solid! So I’d recognize a good knife if I held one. Since I traded that knife to a friend, I wanted to get this one because it’s sort of similar in the fact that it’s got G10, runs on washers, and s30v steel! The spyderco was actually CPMs30v… as of right now, I’m not sure of the differences in both steels, if there is any? Anyways! This legit feels like a good, solid knife! However, this is my first impressions as of getting this today from Amazon! The true value is in the testimony of this knife months/years later! ... show more

Pattern Name: Pocket Knife
So far, this is my favorite open assisted knife. This knife is bigger than it looks and heavy. It seems extremely well made and durable. The assist uses a thumb and index finger mechanism to extract the blade. To extract the blade, you can use your thumb exclusively or you can use your index finger exclusively. You can also extract the blade using your thumb and index finger at the same time. Using just your thumb to extract the blade takes quite a bit of effort (but doable). Using just the index finger is easier. Using your thumb and index finger at the same time is a breeze and is my recommended method of use. Once you get the blade moving, it extracts very quickly and reminds me of a good quality automatic. It is very fast and has a VERY powerful motion. If you are not holding the knife firm, the extraction force can jump the knife out of your hand. This is not a bad thing. You should never hold a knife with a limp hand anyway. The handle is excellent and provides a superb anti-slipping grip. If you use this knife for protection, you won't need to worry about your hand slipping over the blade with a thrust. The blade edge is sharp and the blade is quite wide. This will do some damage. Warning. This is NOT a TOY. It is a legitimate assisted tactical knife. Do not compare this to the highly commercialized and imported "tactical" knives (I won't mention any brands here - do your research). If you have no experience with assisted knives or automatics, this should not be your first. Get a good quality Ken Onion (or other USA made brand) that is a smaller knife with a reasonably fast blade ejector. If you have experience with various assisted knives and want a fast, well made, and large tactical knife for protection, you won't be disappointed in this one. ... show more

Wasn’t sure about it, never had a knife from this company before. Heard mixed reviews about the weight.. when it arrived, I opened it up and was very satisfied with the look. Picked it up and held it, weight was just fine. Opened with a strong and quick snap! Wow!!!! Locked in place solid. Felt great in my hand. Love the grip. The shape of the blade is just so nice with a little curve to it and it’s a nice wide blade. I don’t know, I think I’m going to have it be my carry knife now. It’s excellent, comfortable, sharp, solid, clips can be taken off and put in (4) different spots to suite anyone, that’s a first for me. I like the place it is that it came with. I will be buying more Zero Tolerance knives if they are this good. Very happy with purchase! Very happy! ... show more
