My daughter has been having a lot of fun with these paints. I've included some pictures of the art that she's done with them and she has found it as useful for pour painting as for regular brush painting. She has sometimes found that this paint is thinner than other acrylic paint so she has been combining it with a thicker paint in order to get the texture that she wants. The shine of the metallics is lovely in the final art projects and the paint dries reasonably quickly. The tubes are quite big and hold a lot of paint so they will last a while. I picked up this set of metallic acrylic paints for my crafty kid to use for various art projects at home. We have used them on canvas with good results. They are thick enough to cover the canvas, but on things like rocks, we needed to apply it kinda thick or with two coats. I really liked the pearl finish on the white. We did a snow scene and used the metallic white to add effect to some snowflakes in the scene. For the price you can't beat this set. If you were purchasing this from a craft store, this paint would be classified as a level 1 or 2. Not professional grade, but not thin poster paint either. When you do a mixed media artwork it is always nice to have a little metallic here and there. These paints seem like they are highly pigmented, and they are easy to work with and easy to mix.
