  • Casts smoothly, doesn’t fray, doesn’t stretch
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 1450-yard/10-pound
I was concerned when I began spoiling my reels with this line that it would have a lot of memory because it appeared to while coming off the spool but I was pleasantly surprised at how little memory this line has. The line casts very smoothly on its way off the reel (used on a spin caster and spinning reel). I decided to try this line for catfishing so at night I could see the red line in my head lamp more easily and it is very visible in the head lamp; the line is marketed as low vis but where I fish for catfish the water is murky so that wasn’t a selling point for me. The line is strong and we were able to pull in a couple of catfish on our first outing with this line. The line held up to rocky debris covered bottom with out fraying. The line also didn’t show any signs of stretching, but the fish we caught weren’t huge so maybe they just weren’t strong enough. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of this line especially for the price point. ... show more

  • Cheap but durable.
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 850-yard/14-pound
Sometimes good enough is really good enough. I have fished this line for the last 6 years on all my setups (except salmon) and I love it. Limber as a dish rag.

  • Perfect
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 1850-yard/6-pound
I am using the 6# line for surf fishing. It is very easy to see where your line is going because of it's red color. Holds a San Diego Jam knot well. Spooled it on a 4000 size spinning reel it casts very well. Doesn't have excessive stretch for 6#. Highly recommend!

  • The most durable mono I have ever used.
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 450-yard/30-pound
Been using this line for years and it has never failed. Very strong and casts like a dream. Highly recommend.

  • I bit to stiff
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 450-yard/30-pound
Made a few hundreds hi- low rigs for perch, king, Seabass etc. great line , just a bit to stiff for my taste , feels like you are tying a 50lb line , but over all great product, rich color , makes really good rigs , very durable. Will recommend to buy if you ok with a little stiffness during rig making . ... show more

  • Not for a spinning reel.
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 1450-yard/10-pound
This line has a lot of memory and twists. Used on a spinning reel. Would not recommend.

  • Perfect for cross stitch gridlines
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 3000-yard/4-pound
I'm working on a complex cross stitch design. After spending 2 evenings unpicking a section that I had shifter several stitches the wrong direction, I decided to sew gridlines onto my aida fabric. I first did it with 1 strand of embroidery floss (the vertical lines in the photo), but they are too easy to pierce with my needle as I make cross stitches. I read on a blog somewhere about using red fishing line. They make a similar product specifically for cross stitching, but the blogger said that product was basically fishing line that they charged a lot more $$$$ for. So I ordered this 4 lb test line and started replacing the grid lines (the horizontal lines in the photo). I'm using a size 26 needle, and it threads very easily with this line - it would work in an even smaller needle for finer fabric. It shows up beautifully on the fabric, especially with my work light on it, and pulls out very easily when a section is complete. It's an 'off label' use of the line, but it works great! ... show more
