I purchased a G bansuri. The quality is great, love the sound and it is perfectly tuned. I tried a few years ago to purchase bansuri from ebay but the quality was not great and it was incorrectly tuned. I learn bansuri from the Easy flute school tutorials on youtube. He made me fell in love with the G bass. I just ordered the G bass and the C bass. If you are a beginner start with D or C middle one, over time you can play G bass and only after getting very good with G bass (the hand needs to stretch a bit) you can try an E bass. I've been playing flute for years. The first thing I tested with this flute once it landed in my hands was the swar PA(note G). I could play PA swar effortlessly with all the holes closed or five fingers closed, tonal quality didn't change at all & that what makes this a really good flute. All notes sound sweet & clean. You can easily reach two octaves on this flute flawlessly, no issues. No stupid manufacturer markings on the flute which makes it real original with no compromises on the quality at all. I really like the woody, deep sound of this bansuri. I am a professional musician and have been really wanting a bansuri for a while. Decided to try out a couple on Amazon (not my first choice) since I can test and return with ease. I found this one to be very nice for the price, especially compared to others that were more expensive. I ended up keeping this bansuri in the end. The upper register (second octave) is not so easy to play (a challenge with all bansuri flutes) but with practice it has become easier. Flute is quite loud, warm, woody sound. I typically play a Xiao when it comes to bamboo flutes but wanted to learn Bansuri. I decided to try out this middle D bansuri and it sounds great! Much easier to play than I thought and seems good for beginners. I’m sure it could be better but the craftsmanship is decent. I was so quickly impressed with the sound quality, that I bought the E Bass bansuri the very next day. Can’t wait to get it... ... show more

The seller shipped the flute right away, and it arrived in a nice reinforced case. The flute is well made, with a lovely tone. I'm only a beginner, so I don't have an in-depth review to add, but I am very satisfied with my purchase.

    • Hurt my hands, had to return
Returned it because I have big hands for my height. Male 5'7", but hands are like a 6 foot sized man's. This was too thin and hurt my hands to the point of cramping, and I was forced to return it. Now looking for a larger flute.
