I have lost count of the number of sippy cups I have gotten for kiddo that they refuse to use. I am happy to say that these are not included in that list! Kiddo loves using them and I love that they are easy to clean!! They break down to three parts: lid, straw and cup. The straw is wide enough all the way down so that you can fit a straw brush down it and feel like you actually got it clean, also they are dish washer safe on the top rack. For drinking, you do have to pop the vent open for them to be easier to drink from, but they do work if you don’t. I will say one of the down sides is they can leak, especially if you have the vent open so that can be a little messy if you aren’t careful. ... show more

So long as you keep them from shoving stuff into the straws these don’t leak if you put the lid on good. One thing to note is the placement of the straw on the inside is important. If it’s not right they will really struggle to get a drink. I felt bad when I realized I had been doing it wrong sometimes. Also, they make a sound sometimes while they’re drinking which is tough for overstimulated moms/dads. Pros outweigh the cons. We keep ordering these. When I went searching for new cups for my 2.5yo, I had three features in mind: a cup that is easy to clean, has no unreachable spots for mold to build up, and isn’t super leaky. This product gives you all of them. I have a straw brush for cleaning and it’s that simple. It holds a surprising amount of water (15oz). It fits in all of our cup holders, including a car seat and a booster. *I only gave this cup 3/5 stars on “Leak Proof”. It is not leak proof, but very resistant to them.
