I bought this cup for my 3 year old and she uses it regularly. It is easily cleaned either by hand or in the dishwasher however I ensure I take the peices apart to make sure they all get clean. My 3 year old can easily open and close the spout on her own making my life easier. I only use room temperature or cold liquids as that is what she drinks so I dont know how it would hold up with hot drinks. It has been dropped and is very durable. Obviously if you flip it upside down, a little bit of water will leak where the straw is located. I also love that it always comes with an additional straw. I bought myself a simple modern tumbler and thought my son needed one too! The Cookie Monster print was too cute to pass up. I probably didn’t read the description fully but this is NOT a leak proof cup. When it is closed, it doesn’t leak but when the straw is open and held upside down it will leak. For bigger kids, I’m sure this isn’t a big issue but my son is a toddler so this can’t be an everyday cup for him. We’ve had the cup for a little over a month and don’t use it too often as I just mentioned so I haven’t noticed the design wearing yet but it is easy to clean. I also like that it comes with two straws. It is easy for my toddler to use and hold but I could see it being difficult as a first time straw cup because the opening is very wide. ... show more
