The media could not be loaded. This incubator is easy to use, even for those just beginning with hatching chicks. It is easy to clean, as well as easy to monitor the humidity & temperature. You can add water easily without having to open the lid, which is very helpful in keeping the temperature stable. Temp fluctuations can result in chicks dying before they reach hatching or during hatching if they become "shrink wrapped". The auto egg turner saves you from manually having to turn the eggs, & it stops 3 days before hatch, to prevent over turning. The ability to use an appt to monitor the incubator adds a nice touch for those who like the extra bells & whistles. It fits 16 chicken eggs. This was my first time incubating and12 of my 15 eggs hatched! The temperature and humidity stayed perfectly constant! And being able to check the status and turn eggs remotely from my phone was great when I was away overnight! I cannot rave about this product enough!!!

    • Sophisticated basic incubator.
So what does that mean? Sophisticated and basic. Sophisticated in that this is one of the few incubators that you can connect to your phone and keep track of what I happening while you are away. Just keep in mind if the power is out and you are away, there will be no connection. Basic, in that the design is simple to use. Few button on top and clear instruction right there to help guide you. There seems to be an adequate amount of heating wires to make quick adjustments if needed. Some have less than what this one does(which is a good amount) and if the room chills and the incubator needs to compensate, ones with less take longer, meaning your eggs are coiled longer. Converting to hatching stage is simple, the turner ring pops right out, as does the bottom grid when hatching is done, for cleaning. When removing the turner to hatch, I have several egg cartons with the tops cut off that I use to hold the eggs while I make the switch. Just have everything ready before you start. Being out of the incubator for a short time is not a problem as mother hen has to get off the nest every once in awhile to eat and drink. Nice little incubator for small batches. ... show more

Convenient size holds 16 eggs and you can control the temperature through an app on your phone it’s a pretty yellow color and would also definitely buy again
